About Cydney Mar

Cydney's designs are inspired by her need to create clothing that captures the essence of a woman. Her contemporary attitude appeals to a wide age range as she wardrobes women for stylish daytime dressing with a free–spirited sense of fashion. Cydney begins with her favorite pursuit: the worldwide search for beautiful fabrics, extraordinary colors and charming trims, interesting fabrics that are lovely to touch, easy to care for, and have that extra special something!

With her fabric treasures in hand, Cydney imagines wonderful designs for the women who inspire her and all she has to do is to look around her to be excited and energized to create another range of lovely clothing for everyday elegance. Her fashions showcase intricate prints, butter–soft finishes, sweater knits with a golden shimmer, and beautiful microfiber jacquards with a feminine drape. These are the types of fabrics that Cydney transforms into affordable, fashionable clothing that is a pleasure to wear.

"I am constantly amazed by the women I see around me — how women manage in a single day to be daughters, mothers, lovers, friends, and more. Women need to be celebrated and I endeavor to create clothing to make women feel great and look fabulous in the most comfortable and delightful way."

Born and raised on the west coast of Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia, Cydney began her career over twenty years ago. A competitive figure skater at the national level, Cydney was exposed to the creative process early on and brought her skater's discipline to her new found love: fashion. "Fashion encompassed all that I needed - I was absolutely captured by the entire world of fashion - the creative expression, the fabrics, the colors. I loved to sketch, sew, create - and here I am years later, still doing what I love the most - creating wonderful fashions for real women."

In her leisure time, Cydney can be found at home with Mia, her adorable black miniature schnauzer and Wasabi, her bright green bird. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, working on her pastel drawings at her art easel, sewing, reading, and having fun with friends, family, and loved ones!
