Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Smart Stick! When Santa failed to deliver the number one item on my wish list, I bought the Cuisinart - Smart Stick for myself! My favorite soups are rich thick soups like butternut squash and zuchinni leak potato soup, both of which have to be blended as the last step. I had previously used my Cuisinart blender to complete this task, but it only worked if I blended a few cups at a time and wound up spilled all over the kitchen. The Smart Stick works beautifully! I can blend the entire pot full of soup in one step, right in the pan, and clean up is a breeze! Not to mention how easy this makes whipping up a smoothie for breakfast. I chose the Cuisinart brand because I have used my Cuisinart food processor for 25 years and I know first hand how dependable your products prove to be over time! I must say, the best late Christmas gift I ever received!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well. It's hard to push two buttons at once when making smoothie, it's awkward to hold and push two places at once.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality blender This blender is of good quality and has great accessories with it. The only odd thing, is the way you have to hold the speed button down. I don't know if it's the position of the button or the way I'm holding the blender, but it feels awkward. Good motor though and I'll love having the whisk attachment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handy gadget I love this smart stick EXCEPT FOR THE TWO BUTTON START BUTTONS! I had another one for approx 15 yrs and I loved it but when I got this new one, found it is VERY difficult to use because you have to constantly keep two fingers on the start buttons. OVERKILL on that safety feature as far as I’m concerned. I gave my old one away when I got the new one so I can’t throw this one out. I will continue to try to use it but has taken a lot of fun and convenience out of food preparation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from satisfied user I received my hand blender for Christmas and was happy when I got it. I just used my hand blender this week while making soup. It worked great. I also have a mixer but I wanted the hand blender because it is easier to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment I really liked this set when I first bought it and used it frequently. However, there was one thing I disliked immediately. It is very awkward to hold the power stick and simultaneously hold down the button that keeps it going. It made my hand ache and I lost my hold on the button repeatedly. Then the plastic gears stripped. That made everything unusable. I returned it. I know I am not the only consumer who has detailed these flaws. I wish Cuisinart would redesign this to fix the shortcomings as the set is actually a good idea.
