Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to use! Bought the fruit scoop to use to make keto ice cream. This is the first dessert maker I have ever purchased and I was super surprised at the ease of use. We have not only made keto ice cream but lots of other frosty desserts. Absolutely love this machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker I can't say enough good things about this ice cream maker. The Cuisinart 1 1/2 quart is beyond my wildest dreams of having an ice cream maker that delivers super ice cream in a matter of a little under a half hour for the soft stage and for the firmer stage which can be reached by freezing in your freezer for about 2 hours or more. We started this quest because of various recalls for commercial ice cream brands due to salmonella poisoning over the last couple of years and because we wanted to control additives in commercial ice cream. Did I say I liked our newest appliance? Yes indeed. It's great and we are trying different recipes out with it and working on some of our own experimental recipes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected When I saw this on David, I was excited and ordered it immediately. When it arrived I quickly unpacked and washed all the pieces. I read the directions and the recipes. When we made the vanilla ice cream from the recipes, it tasted greasy. I believe it was from the cream in the recipe. Also, it was the consistency of a milkshake. The next night we made strawberry. Again the greasy feel on my tongue. And again even after over 2 hours in our freezer it wasn’t hard. It was still like a milkshake. I used my old recipe for homemade ice cream with milk and eggs and it was much better. But 1 1/2 pints is not much ice cream. I’m returning it due to the inconvenience of having to freeze the bowl overnight, not being able to make a bigger batch, and having to premake the mix ahead for several hours. We aren’t a plan ahead family. We enjoy doing things spontaneously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it!!! I mostly bought this to make fresh fruit sherbets/sorbets and frozen yogurt. I eat lots of fresh fruit and greek yogurt so I wanted to have healthy desserts as well. Especially with summer coming up, I wanted to be able to skip the unhealthy store bought products. I just made my first 'simple fruit sorbet' with strawberries, mango, pineapple and banana. OMG it was so delicious and so simple to make. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I wanted it be a little sweeter so I added a few drops of pure stevia extract to the finished product. I also like my sherbet tart as well so I squeezed lemon juice on top and stirred it in. It was sweet, tart and delicious with a creamy texture and bits of fresh fruit. It was ready in less than 15 minutes. I guess if you don't want the bits of fruit, you can probably churn it longer (but I can't imagine who doesn't love bits of fresh fruit yummmm). The instructions say to churn 15-20 minutes. The clean up was also very easy; just rinsed the parts in warm soapy water. I have the freezer bowl sitting in the freezer so it will be ready whenever I decide to make chocolate frozen yogurt. I got it on sale and with 'easy pay' so I am very very happy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't get too firm This is just okay, I got it to make sherbert, but It doesn't seem to get very hard. its a bit softer than soft serve. I can make the same consistency in my Vitamix with frozen fruit. I am going to keep looking for something better. I may need to find a self freezing one to do what I need. Mine did not seem to work right either, so there may be that too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from really disappointed I purchased this after watching on Sunday with David. I followed the instructions. I started the machine and started to incorporate ingredients and everything started to freeze to the top of the machine so it would not spin and I ended up two times throwing my ingredients into the garbage disposal. if it looks to good to be true you know the adage. I was really looking forward to ice-cream without the calories.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected. A lot more refrigeration in making the ice cream than shown in the demonstration. For me not what I expected.
