Cuisinart 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a fairly good coffee maker I have had this coffee maker for a little over 1 year. I don't understand why the gold filter replaces a paper filter, as stated by one consumer rating. I still use paper filters, to get rid of my old grounds. Otherwise, how do you get all the grounds out of the gold filter? It's not good for your plumbing to put coffee grounds down the sink. The enamel is coming off the coffee pot handle, so it looks tacky, but it still makes good coffee. I keep looking at the poor ratings given by other consumers and wonder if I should just keep my old pot, tacky looking as it is, because it still makes coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with my purchase! I had a Krups coffee maker that lasted over 15 years, so when it died about 18 months ago, I bought another Krups. Unfortunately, the new one conked out a couple of weeks ago; when I called their customer support, I learned it would be cheaper to buy a new coffee maker than repair the old one, since their warranty was only for a year. So...I looked around for what I liked, and decided on Cuisinart, since it's a high-quality brand. This unit also carries a 3 year warranty, which sets it apart from other brands. Then, I searched the internet to find the best price. QVC's price was lower (including shipping) than buying the same unit locally. So far, I'm very pleased. The coffee maker is easy to use, and the gold-mesh filter is a great addition as it eliminates the need for paper filters. I don't understand some of the comments, as the amount of water in the reservoir is clearly shown on the right side -- there's a little window with the cup markings clearly shown. Pouring water into the reservoir couldn't be easier, just lift the lid! Thank you QVC !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs some tweaks I bought this because friends had it (but a more expensive model). I should have gotten that one. This one leaks when you pour water into the chamber. So you never know quite how much actually gets in. I add more water to compensate, but the measurement, and therefore the taste, is never quite the same. The lid, which comes off, doesn't form a tight seal. And the ergonomic handle is anything but. I should have sent it back, but I waited too long. I do like the timer, but many pots have that. My friends' pot cost over $100. I guess you get what you pay for, but I think $59.95 should get me a pot that doesn't leak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from quick return Have owned Cuisinart coffeemaker for years. Purchased this item 7-7-11. Have to return for refund as Teflon plate pot sits on is peeling off. Disappointed in quality of this Cuisinart but very happy with QVC as they will refund my money once item is returned. I plan to try again and purchase another.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tinny-tasting I know everyone has different tastes...but, I could tell from the smell of the brewing coffee that I would NOT be happy with this coffee maker...and I was right. I then tried the 1-4 cup feature because the directions say it brews a HOTTER cup of coffee (which might produce a better cup of coffee?)...WRONG...I used my candy thermometer for the regular brew (170 degrees) and the 1-4 cup brew (150 degrees!). It just tastes "tinny" to me...and you coffee-lovers know exactly what I mean. I hate to spend the money, but back it goes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QUALITY Hi, I have had my coffeemaker for over two years. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I see the Cuisinart brand, I know it stands for quality. I worked in a nice department store for years and we sold alot of Cuisinart products. This is the top of the line. My sister said she couldn't understand why I spent so much on my coffeemaker. I just smiled and said 'quality". She has replaced her less expensive coffeemakers three times in the last two years. Need I say more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED PURCHASED THIS COFFEEMAKER AND THE COFFEE IS A GOOD QUALITY AND I LIKE GETTING UP TO BREWED COFFEE, BUT THE TEFLON COATING IS COMING OFF THE HOT PLATE AND IF YOU DO NOT SET THE TIMER, THE COFFEE TAKES FOREVER TO BREW

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! My old Braun finally died after 20 years of incredible service, so the replacement bar was set very high. I decided to try this machine because I trust the Cuisinart name, and I couldn't find a negative review about it. I see why. It makes great coffee, and is loaded with great features, and some very nice extras (gold tone filter, charcoal water filter). Buy it..
