Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dark Blooms 2nd Year My tree didn’t look so great when it arrived with some half wilted leaves and loose dirt and scruffy, but I planted it and watered it the first summer and by the 2nd year it grew to about 6 feet tall and had a few blooms on it. Hopefully this 3rd Spring it’ll be a knockout. My blooms were very beautiful deep purple.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from just received this plant it doesn't look healthy at all. one of the branches appears to be dead. I'll take my chances and plant it to see if survives but I am very concerned. If I saw the tree I received at a nursery, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed! I opened the box and expected my plant to at least look like the picture entitled shipped as shown. NO WAY! It had two branches. Two! One was broken off with all the leaves above the broken branch and the other branch had four tiny dried up leaves on it. It would take years and years for this to grow and look like the picture and that's if it survives the broken half. I am so very disappointed. The plant costs enough that it should have been four times as what arrived. I am very skeptical about ordering any more future plants. Last year I ordered a hibiscus tree and it was small and broken. QVC customer service was great as always and did refund my purchase. I so wanted to be a regular customer of cottage farms since we have no nursery near my home but I have been disappointed too many times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Alive but No flowers at all!!! It's not true that they only sold one tree like that- as the rep stated to a previous reviewer! I got one, too. No flowers last year- none this year, either! Calling Cottage Farms. They are big on promises and boastful advertising on this site, but it is nt the first time that their products do not perform- at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed When I received this tree it was damaged. Two of the branches were broken off but I decided to not send back because of the hassle. I planted it hoping that the only branch left would grow. I waiting to see!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BLOSSOMS ARE PINK NOT BURGUNDY/PURPLE I got this plant last year and it was scrawny, just two little sticks with no vegetation whatsoever on arrival. Planted it as directed, but never got a blossom last year. This year, it did start to blossom in February (unusually warm winter) and it does have a few leaves on it. The blossoms are pink, not burgundy/purple as advertised. I called cottage farms and they said that the blossoms come in pink, which is not what Philip said when presenting the tree. He said that it blooms with the deep burgundy/purple blossoms. Cottage Farms said to call them back on the 27th if the blossoms had not turned to the advertised color, which was about 3 weeks later. Well, I called them back today because the blossoms are still pink. I paid my money for the deep burgundy/purple blossoms. The woman from cottage farms tells me that they only sold 1 of the genie magnolia trees last year so that they couldn't have made a mistake about what they sent me. I asked her how does that explain the color? I told her I expected her to honor their pledge to make sure that the customer was happy. To make me happy all she has to do is send me what I paid my money for and that was a genie magnolia with the deep burgundy/pink color. The person on line representing cottage farms had an attitude. If I was the one who had sold something to a customer and it wasn't what they had paid their money for, I would be a little more gracious and try to fix the problem. It looks like I am stuck with this tree. BEWARE IS ALL I CAN SAY. I will not be buying anything else from cottage farms. I have had problems before with receiving plants that arrived in lousy condition in the past, but they have always sent replacements. I guess this mistake on their part is too costly for them to correct.
