Cottage Farms 3-piece Sub-Zero Hardy 'Garden Party' Hydrangea
These hydrangeas certainly were presented well on TV. I was so excited to get them.
Two of the three in the package, seemed healthy, but one was shriveled up and I cannot revive it. I hate to give up on them but will have to ask for a refund or replacement.
We received our 3 plants and were so excited to get them planted, this was short lived. Two of the plants had frost burn, one was in great shape and looked healthy. We kept the plants and trimmed off the burnt leaves, one of the plants only has 3 small new leaves and the other looks better, but not by much. We have ordered other Cottage Farms plants before and were completely satisfied, however this time we were extremely disappointed in the what we received. I don't think we will be ordering from Cottage Farms again, if this is the quality of product they are now sending out.
I planted, watered, and fed as directed. NOTHING HAPPENED DID NOT GROW.
Beautiful in garden
I purchased 2 years ago and have been blooming Spring through fall ever since . When they bloomed it was an explosion of flowers and have multiplied every year Big Beautiful blooms I have in front garden southern exposure and live in NJ . It has survived these harsh winters and thrived . They change color in the fall so looks beautiful with the autumn flowers too. People always stopping to look at them . Love them...can't wait for Spring just ordered more for the yard. All I did was plant them and water them and normal maintenance .
Had no luck
I ordered these 2 seasons ago, the first year it bloomed beautifully but once the season was over that was it, it never bloomed again, one even died,i keep mine in pots as i live in an apartment so i'm not sure if that was the problem even though the seller said it can grow in pots.Dissapointed
Lovely all summer
I bought these several years ago. They were ok the first and second year. By the time the third year came they were gorgeous. They never stop blooming, and I always get complements. I live in WV and they do very well with our warm summers and cold winters. Do not give up on them. Good things come to those who wait.
I like the others here, had terrible luck with these. I bought them 2 seasons ago, only 1 was ok, and then it never got bigger than 5 inches, never any blooms. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement, as I thought it was something I did or did not do. WONT try these again. Will stick with my local big box hardware/gardening stores. Maybe it has something to do with the shipment.
These don't grow
Received these three or four seasons ago and two died with in the first month of receiving. I did not ask for a replacement but the one that lived never got much bigger. Last summer it finally threw one big blue bloom but the plant is still only about 8" high!
Received these two springs ago and looked healthy, but one died shortly after receiving. I got a replacement for it, but they never got much bigger. Last spring two came back but only got about 8" high and the third one only a few inches! Will see what happens this year! Don't have good luck with Cottage Farms, but keep trying.
Ive tried for two years to get these to grow, They grow about two inches and die. Ive watered and fertilized and I get the same result nothing.
I'm so pleased with the hydrangeas from Cottage Farms. They are small the first year but as they mature they are truly strong beautiful plants. No special pruning needed, I just take off the dead wood in the spring. I live in NY and we have cold winters and the hydrangeas do fine without special care. The plants just need to be watered regularly and they do not like full sun. Fertilize with a good timed release fertilizer in the spring and you will be very happy with their performance.
Not Worth The Money's
Purchased these plants, very small and one died right away. The other 2 never came back up the following season. My 3rd disappointing purchase from cottage farms. As tempting as they look it will be my last from this company.
