Cottage Farms 3-piece Sub-Zero Hardy 'Garden Party' Hydrangea
Had no luck
I ordered these 2 seasons ago, the first year it bloomed beautifully but once the season was over that was it, it never bloomed again, one even died,i keep mine in pots as i live in an apartment so i'm not sure if that was the problem even though the seller said it can grow in pots.Dissapointed
Lovely all summer
I bought these several years ago. They were ok the first and second year. By the time the third year came they were gorgeous. They never stop blooming, and I always get complements. I live in WV and they do very well with our warm summers and cold winters. Do not give up on them. Good things come to those who wait.
I like the others here, had terrible luck with these. I bought them 2 seasons ago, only 1 was ok, and then it never got bigger than 5 inches, never any blooms. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement, as I thought it was something I did or did not do. WONT try these again. Will stick with my local big box hardware/gardening stores. Maybe it has something to do with the shipment.
These don't grow
Received these three or four seasons ago and two died with in the first month of receiving. I did not ask for a replacement but the one that lived never got much bigger. Last summer it finally threw one big blue bloom but the plant is still only about 8" high!
Received these two springs ago and looked healthy, but one died shortly after receiving. I got a replacement for it, but they never got much bigger. Last spring two came back but only got about 8" high and the third one only a few inches! Will see what happens this year! Don't have good luck with Cottage Farms, but keep trying.
Ive tried for two years to get these to grow, They grow about two inches and die. Ive watered and fertilized and I get the same result nothing.
I'm so pleased with the hydrangeas from Cottage Farms. They are small the first year but as they mature they are truly strong beautiful plants. No special pruning needed, I just take off the dead wood in the spring. I live in NY and we have cold winters and the hydrangeas do fine without special care. The plants just need to be watered regularly and they do not like full sun. Fertilize with a good timed release fertilizer in the spring and you will be very happy with their performance.
Not Worth The Money's
Purchased these plants, very small and one died right away. The other 2 never came back up the following season. My 3rd disappointing purchase from cottage farms. As tempting as they look it will be my last from this company.
Wow ! Wow!
I ordered these last year for my newly built home. Arrived healthy about 4"-5" tall. Planted them and got blooms and cut flowers throught last summer. Well this year they are 3 ft wide and about 3 ft tall already and every stem is full of buds. I am expecting an explosion of blooms this year, Can't wait!
The most incredible shrub I've ever ordered! They are planteed on the side of the house that gets partial shade. My garden looks like we have been here for years. Dont hesitate. Order these. Follow planting insructions.
I bought these and left them on my porch until I could plant them. The temperature went below freezing and I thought they were dead. I brought them inside and watered them and they all came back just fine. We are getting ready to plant them this weekend. The plants are hardy...you need to know how to take care of them.
I ordered this two years ago. They were stggly and all died. I informed cottage farms AMD the represebntative accused me of not planting them properly. They did send scraggly replacements last year, plus I ordered two sets of the red, white and blue. They were also in bad shape. Did not look like what they showed on television. Bottom line is that of a total of twelve plants ordered, only four live. I am afraid to call cottage farms and get chewed out again.
This is my third year and my plants have a lot of new growth, The first year I got my plants in great shape and I planted them but the barely grew, I was disapointed but the second year the plants grew three timrs it size and had beautiful flowers. This year it will come full circle from what it looks like now. Be patient..
