I am hoping that this spring I will see something great finally happen. The first year I had a few blooms, they were all red. Last year I had fewer blooms, all red and one yellow. I will add new mulch to the large container I have it in and fertilize. Maybe this is the year. I'll write another review if this plant turns around & really performs
ALSO, I was not aware that hibiscus blooms only last one day. Is this normal?

It had a few blooms when it arrived and then died within a month. It's back to my local nursery.

I planted my Hibiscus Tree in April of 2015. It had buds on it and bloomed 2 days later and has not stopped. There are 3 buds now on it ready to bloom. I live in San Diego CA and have lots of flowers and many have gone to rest for the winter but this Hibiscus has withstood the 100 deg temp in the summer and the 34 deg temp this winter. I love all the flowers I get from Cottage Farms.

I bought this last year, it had flowers during the season. It now looks like braided sticks. Hoping it will come back. Lot of money for something that only last one season.

I purchased this Braided Hibiscus Tree in the spring of 2014. It arrived packaged well and it had survived the shipping experience in relatively good shape.
However, I was not happy with the product overall. One of the three braids was much smaller in diameter than the other two. It looked more like a vine, with the other two braids looking like a small tree. I called Cottage Farms and they told me that the small braid will catch up to the others but if I was not satisfied that I could contact QVC for a refund. I called QVC and explained I was dissatisfied and they gave me a full refund and said I should just keep the plant that they did not want it back.
So, although I did not think the plant was of good quality, I thought the service provided by QVC was extraordinary. By the way, the small braid on the tree died the first summer. It was probably strangled by the larger two braids. The other two braids produced a few flowers during the season but they were much smaller than what was depicted on the show. I would not recommend buying this product as I think you can do much better buying one from the Big Box store in your neighborhood. The plants are cheaper and of better quality. I will however, continue to shop with QVC as they provided excellent customer service and support.

I just love this hibiscus tree. I live in the hot dry Tucson AZ and keep it under a shade screen porch so it won't burn. The irrigator sprays it 3 times a day. The blooms are beautiful and large. It attracts all the humming birds and honey bees. I'd suggest everyone buys one.
Rated 5 out of 5 by jillie65 Beautiful plant
I have owned two of these plants since April 2014. I brought it in last winter as I live in NJ.
I put the plants in my bathrooms and during the long snowy winter they both bloomed and flourished. I sometimes only have one color flower blooming at a time but I don't mind because the flowers are simply beautiful. They are low maintence and would buy more if I had more room to store them in the winter. I have them in large containers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by nfred why only yellow flowers?
This hibiscus tree is supposed to have 3 colors. I've been waiting all summer for blooms in red, and pink/peach. Nothing but yellow. Also, the information on care that was included was worthless. I had to do a lot of digging on the Internet to find out why it was loosing so many leaves. It's doing OK now, and I've had lots of flowers, but I'm very disappointed about not having 3 colors of blooms. We'll see how it does inside over the winter. I've heard that they are a lot of work to winter them inside, and not worth all the trouble.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Tempra DIED WITHIN TWO MONTHS!
This tree came bent/crooked, so it began looking bad. Wouldn't even stand up straight! Then, it had tiny black bugs on the leaves. I took a leaf, complete with bugs, to the local nursery experts and they said that the bugs were Aphids. So, I got Eight Insect Control. Bottom Line: Within 2 months, all leaves died and fell off, and the tree died. I would return it, but I destroyed the box that it came in. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a disaster. I am a pretty good gardener and while the plant I bought this summer is still living, it looks nothing like the picture. It rarely blooms, and then only one at a time and the leaves never filled in. The prettiest part of the arrangement are the flowers I planted at the base. Go to your local nursery instead.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Kwoolf Hibiscus tree Failure after 2 tries!
This is the second time I ordered this item. I tried it last year and after 3 months it died. I took great care of the plant, fed and watered it etc. I live on the coast in NC so no extreme weather conditions. I figured I might have done something to contribute to its dying.
I wondered another this past spring. I even got the plant food that cottage farms sells on QVC and have been babying it for the last 2 months. I have gotten a few blooms but the leaves keep falling off, it hasn't been thriving and the same things are happening to it as last year!
I DO NOT recommend purchasing!!!

Does NOT even come close to how it was advertised. 2 months now with tender loving care and following the instructions perfectly and it is a scraggily tree with no flowers. wish I could attach photos! don't waster your money
