K0632 - Cook's Essentials Stainless Steel Nonstick 12pcCookware Set
This was the best set, especially for the price when I purchased. I own 2 complete sets plus some extra pieces. The best set of cookware I have ever owned. And beleive me in the 40 odd years I have been cooking I have purchased a lot of sets, that just had to be replaced soon after. None of the other brands carried a good warrenty. I have bee using this cookware since 2004 and still love it. Had one problem with a fry pan, and QVC quickly replaced it at no cost to me. Wish you would bring this set back. I really like the size, shape and pour spouts featured in this set.
MY GREATEST SET OF POTS AND PANS
I BOUGHT THIS SET FOR MY SELF AND MY SON AND HIS FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS IN 2003. THESE PANS ARE JUST AS NICE AS THE DAY THEY ARRIVED, AND BELIEVE ME, THEY ARE USED DAILY!
I COOKED SAUCE TO TAKE TO THE SAME SON'S HOME, AND THE BIGGEST OF THE PANS FROM THE SET DID NOT MAKE THE TRIP HOME--SO NOW HE HAS TWO--LOL! I ORDERED THE ROASTER SEPARATELY, BUT IT IS NOT AS LARGE, BUT IT IS STILL MY FAVORITE.
CLEAN-UP IS A BREEZE. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THESE PANS.
MY OTHER DAUGHTER-IN-LAW (SHE DOES THE COOKING FOR HER FAMILY!) WANTS A SET TOO. WELL, HER CHRISTMAS SHOPPING FROM US IS NEARLY COMPLETED!
ALL KIDDING ASIDE, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS SET OF PANS. THE
LARGER SAUCE PAN IS A PLUS.
Happy as ever
These pots and pans are great! I received a set for xmas in 2005 and they are still going strong. I have since then purchased two sets for relatives and they to think these are wonderful. I can't wait to have them back in stock so I can purchase another set for a friend. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a sturdy set of cookware, you will not be disappointed.
Don't buy this set of you like non-stick, easy to clean pans. I have had my set about four years and the only peice that still looks good is the Chricken fryer because I don't really use it. The others started turning brown and wouldn't clean after about five uses. They say the discoloration doesn't make a difference in it's performance, so why does everything stick now? I haven't tried to return any of it, even though it has a lifetime warranty. I have been looking for a better quality set.
I purchased this set 4+ years ago-and it has been the best set I've ever used. When it was brand new I only used silcone utensils and hand-washed it. After a year or so I decided to try using metal utensils and occasionally placing in the dishwasher as was advertised as safe to do. I use this set almost daily, and am more than pleased with it-No scratches, the non-stick surface is in excellent condition, and it is extremely easy to care for. The price is terrific and was money well-spent.
I use all these pieces daily. The only thing I'd like is a lid for the bigger pan.
Bad decision to buy
I bought this set in January of 07. I bought it to replace a set of faberware that lasted 20+ years but the handles started breaking. I thought this was a quality set for the money you had to spend to buy it so I threw out my old pans. Now 2 years later the scratch resistant coat is a joke, the frying pans stick, the pots are all scratched, and you have to spend a small fortune to send it back to North Carolina. I don't expect the turnaround time to be very good. If I send the whole set back, I am left going out to buy cheap pots and such to be able to cook which is ridiculous. This is certainly not a set to use everyday (yes some of us do cook everyday). By the way the only metal utensil this set saw was a metal spoon to spoon out whatever was in it.
BEST COOKWARE I HAVE EVER OWNED!
I absolutely love this set! I have never had a cookware set this nice. I have had it for a year and half and it still is great! I love the strainer feature! It is great and when this set wears out, I am buying another of the same set! I would highly recommend it to all my friends and I have.
Definitely not LIFETIME
I purchased Cooks Essentials cookware set several years ago and when I purchased this set it said it had a lifetime warranty! Well my cookware sticks everytime their used and we have never used metal utensils in these , and I believe that the cost for shipping is as much as it would be to replace the cookware and we PAY for that not QVC!!!!!! (VERY DISAPPOINTED!)
I purchased a full set in 1999-i have sent pans back a couple
times in the past decade-they have always replaced with the
current items (not exactly same size pans but definatley my $'s worth)
I think hard water/well water may effect the coating on the pans more
than city water /soft water. (my mom's look better than mine)
I don't think the shipping /handling of mailing back is too much when
your getting almost $200 back in new pans.
I am still very pleased with cooks' essential and have many other pieces
as well. enjoy them and just try it.
They're alright, but not lifetime
I bought these pans in February of 2000 when it was a 10 piece set. My understanding was that they would last a lifetime, at least, that's what they said on air. The sauce pans have held up okay, but not the skillets. I cook daily and the "non-stick" surface on the skillets were never non-stick and the surface is peeling up on all three. I received a replacement of two of the skillets in 2003, and now, in 2008, I need all three skillets replaced.
Overall, I do like these pans and I love QVC, so as long as they will replace my skillets, I would recommend shopping with QVC, but they should not advertise them to be lifetime pans.
A Great (BIG) Set!
Talk about versatility! This has everything you NEED! Getting 1,2 & 3QT saucepans is neat! The chicken fryer is deep & holds a bunch & our fave is that EVERYDAY pan! My Husband truly brags about the clean up & is so impressed by the quality! I also love the stock pot when I make extra soup or chili & when Ed makes his now famous gravy (or do you say sauce?)! Even if I need to replace a piece, it's not too much of a problem. Hooray to Bob Warden!
