Rated 1 out of 5 by POOR DESIGN, CLEAN UP IS HORRIBLE!!! The machine works on firm foods but clean up is a huge mess. The one problem is a silicone split area where machine slices food. Food falls into that silicone area and machine drags the food into that area. There is no clear way to clean it out! You are not to turn machine upside down, that is in instruction booklet! You can not shake food out and there is no way I am sticking anything in there to get food out! That can not be safe. I think they designed the silicone split to keep food from falling into machine but it does not work!! It just drags food into the silicone split area, food smashes under the plastic lid and there again is another mess. A food processor is much easier to clean. This machine is just not worth the mess and I wish I would have returned the silly thing! 10-22-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by It's just OK. I don't love this slicer, but don't hate it either. There's room for improvement, such as a bigger tube, better labeling of the blades (can't see the words), and would really appreciate it if it could do meat. I also wish it wasn't so messy with food spilling onto the top of the machine. If you make potato casseroles or scalloped potatoes this machine is a HUGE help and does a really nice job evenly slicing the potatoes to your desired thickness. I wish it had a cover. Do I regret buying it? Not really. If I knew then what I know now, would I buy it? Probably not. Just not worth the price. 10-22-16

Rated 2 out of 5 by I really wanted to love this machine I really wanted to love this mandolin and for 3 uses did. But the other day I had all my veges and fruits lined up ready for prep work and bam it just would not start. It froze. I'm very disappointed. Im returning. 10-22-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nothing Like TV I had very high expectations after watching the TV demonstrations throughout the day. What I failed to notice was how selective they were with what they were actually dicing or slicing. The first thing I attempted to use this mandolin for was dicing an onion. Isn't that almost certainly the most likely thing you'd want to dice? What a massive failure! I had to use my entire body weight to press down on the onion in the feed tube while the blade mechanism slid futilely back and forth. A lot of the onion got caught in the grid. Cleaning everything was tedious and there were lots of parts. My knife skills are nowhere near a professional level, but definitely superior to what the machine did. Not to mention faster and way less trouble to clean up after. Probably the mandolin works fine on really soft foods, but those were never hard to do by hand in the first place. Couldn't struggle to repack it and all its pieces in its box fast enough! Of course, maybe all the secrets to using this mandolin were in the instruction booklet the product description claims accompanies the product, but all I got was a bunch of pieces that were fairly simple to put together thanks to the color coding. I doubt it would have helped, but it's annoying when stuff arrives incomplete. If you never plan to use with harder fruits and vegetables like onions, carrots, potatoes or apples this might be okay for you. Notice the things they choose to demonstrate in their presentation before making a decision to purchase. 10-21-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great slice and dicer and more Thank you QVC for a safer way for me and my family to cut, dice, and more. I cut 3 fingers with a regular mandolin slicer and I will never use another manual one. This is so safe, so easy and so efficient. My kids, grandkids, every one uses it and I know that they are safe from injury with this. I absolutely love the color coded system, you cant make a mistake. This sits on my kitchen counter proudly next to my kitchen- aid mixer. 10-20-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by SLICE AWAY This item was a little tricky to put together the first time, but once I got it it is wonderful. Threw away my old manual mandolin. Only use this one now. 10-20-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by So Sad I ordered this and it shipped on 09/16/2016. Unfortunately, I took it out of the box, put it in my cupboard and threw the box away. Sunday 10/16/2016 was my first opportunity to use it, I set it up to begin and the switch will not come on. Now I have no return box plus I am past my 30 days. Very sad because I was looking forward to using it and now have wasted upwards to $100. VERY SAD. 10-19-16
