Awesome machine. It does everything it is advertised to do and even more. My wife even boiled potatoes in preparation for her potato salad.

I thought I would try this. I never used a pressure cooker before, but wow I just love this.
I fix hard boil eggs all the time for my salads and devil eggs. This is just great for doing the eggs. Its like sliced bread. The shells just slide right off. I use this about 3 times a week. And I'm still learning. If you have never tried this or was afraid of using one, don't be its easy to use. I can't wait for Eric cookbook to come out. I did however buy the Blue Jean pressure cookbook which has been very helpful.

I first purchased the Ninja. When I got it, I took it out of the box, looked at it and thought "wow this is so much like my crockpot". I didn't see too many uses for it that my crockpot couldnt do all day. I decided to ship back the Ninja and get this pressure cooker instead and I'm SO glad I did. I've cooked a roast, corned beef brisket, ribs and more. It's so easy and great for last minute meals when you aren't sure what you're going to fix.

I purchased a cooks essentials 5 qt pressure cooker some time ago, I used it once or twice, it has been sitting on top of my frig for a while. I took it down to use it again and it wouldn't even light up when I plugged it in, we tried a few outlets in the house and no sign of starting. I found the book and there was no number to call or anything, I looked it up on line and found out their service center when out of business.
Rated 1 out of 5 by KarenMcB Doesn't work as shown
The first thing I tried cooking in it was a 2 pound roast. I even cut it in half first. I cooked it as instructed. After 45 minutes, the roast was only done on the outside, so I reset it and checked again after 45 minutes. It was done, but still so tough. I ended up throwing it in the crock pot overnight on low to finish cooking it. It was nice and tender then. I guess I was expecting a very small roast to be "falling apart tender" like they show in the demonstration on TV, this was not the case at all! If It is going to take longer than 1.5 hours and still not be done, I might as well just cook it in the oven!!
Rated 4 out of 5 by FRthestar Love it but can't brown or daute meats
I love this cooker. It does everything well, except I thought it had the browning and steamer but does not. It does cook everything quicker and the food is so tasty and tender. I've made hot wings, beefaroni, ribs and next will be a roadt and ox tails. Cleanup is so simple. I caution you that if you want a steamer or the browning ability, choose the right cooks essential pressure cooker, don't assume as I did, you will be disappointed about that, but everything else is awesome.

You can make soup in 16 minutes - not just soup but real slow cooked flavor in - I promise 16 minutes - I made a potato corn chowder and I thought no way can this be correct - it took me longer to cut up the veggies then it did to cook, finished the soup with cream when it was done cooking, brought up the seasoning and BOOM done...
I have been wanting one for years, we got one when we were first married 43 years ago and used it all of the time - the topper fell off and I couldn't find a replacement then the gasket broke and I turned the pot into a popcorn popper and never replaced it. A friend bought one of these and said you ought to try this one, so I looked into buying one that was simular to the one I had stove top and it was 89.99 - looked hers up it was 99. and on easy pay - so why not, right? it is fantastic you can cook beans in 15 minutes WHAT!!
get this you will love it

I used this product for six times, and it did a good job. However, when I went to use it for the seventh time, it would not turn on. It was dead so I sent it back for a refund. I do not recommend this product to anyone. It's of poor quality!!!. Geo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kemmith Absolutely love this cooker!
I ordered this pressure cooker after doing quite a lot of research. After comparing price points and options at QVC and other merchants, I decided this seemed like the best value. I am thrilled with this cooker! I was hesitant at first because some reviewers stated they had issues with the non-stick coating peeling off, I have not had that problem at all. In fact, the coating on the cooker pot is very high quality and is on the inside and outside of the pot. My aunt had purchased the 6 qt version and highly recommended this brand to me. She also had no issues with the non-stick coating and loves the 6 qt cooker. I prefer the 8 qt version so that I have leftovers, my husband likes that too!! Excellent value and excellent cookware!

I was so excited to get this pressure cooker but the first attempt to use it was terrible. The pressure cooker takes longer than a regular pressure cooker. The instructions say it only takes 25 minutes to cook a pot roast but it actually took almost two hours to cook the roast. The roast was thawed out too. The roast still did not fall apart like the show on QVC showed onscreen. The carrots and potatoes were not all the way cooked either. I am sending this back. I am very disappointed with this product. It does not cook fast like it says. I am going back to my old pressure cooker.
