Rated 5 out of 5 by Changes the way I cook! Love my Pressure Cooker. I live in a hot climate during summer and I work full time - 2 perfect reasons to have a pressure cooker. It doesn't heat up the house, and I don't dread coming home and cooking for an hour. I can whip up soup, pasta, chicken, ribs really quick. I made a homemade chicken soup for a sickie in the house in 15 minutes, full of nutrients. I used no premade chicken broth, no need. Just like grandma made me. Sometimes I do part of the meal in the pressure cooker, like making chicken for the enchiladas. That part usually takes an hour to make sure its tender. One thing I'll say is that some of the times on the presets are a little too long, like the rice is just a little overcooked. I set it manually about 1-2 minutes earlier. It really is worth it. 11-13-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Addition to my 'Toys' Made my fist meal last night in my new 'toy.' It was a chicken dish (from another source) that said to pc for 15 minutes. A similar chicken dish in the instruction booklet said 20 minutes or use Chicken setting and I chose Chicken. My meal was perfect, just perfect. Not sure about removing the seal for cleaning and that's the reason for four stars. More difficult than the one on my eight year old Cooks Essentials that started acting peculiar. I'll have to read the instructions again. 11-09-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by Still Undecided I always had the regular pressure cookers so this was somewhat different. I love the sleek look. But I mainly use it to pressure cook oxtails and when I selected the beef (26mjn) it don't cook it property it was still raw. But this was the first time I'm using it so I know the 2nd time will be a charm, ether way I'm glad I made the purchase and will get one for my mother in red 11-08-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by So Far Disappointed I was excited to get this cooker. Mine is old and wanted something new. Took awhile to figure out how to get lid on and off even after reading the instructions. First thing I tried and the reason I got it was how they showed cooking wings from frozen. What they do not tell you is they come out pale white and you have to cook in the oven when they come out of cooker. Will have to see how it handles other food but no to the wings. Back to frying. 11-02-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love this product The larger size makes the difference compared to our last purchase. I highly recommend this pressure cooker. It is durable and performance is great! 11-01-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not going to be a kitchen ornament Received it today and already cooked in it. Made a roast from frozen, which wasn't recommend however it only took about and hour for meat and veggies. I have a feeling this will be my go to in the kitchen. Cooking isn't such a hassle when you have have something simple and easy like this around. I watched this all day long when it was today's special and I am glad I gave in! 10-31-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good if not defective This product would have been okay if it wasn't defective. The manual said the pressure valve is loose and wobbles around, but that it locks when the unit is pressurized. Never happened. I cooked in it twice, and both times the valve wobbled around and steam escaped. I followed the recommendations in the manual to trouble shoot, but it still didn't work properly. Another time, the unit would not stay on. Kept shutting off and eventually wouldn't turn on at all. Cooked the item on my stove. Discovered later that the electric cord may not have been making a good connection. Am not sure if that was the cause because I didn't notice it at the time. I was able to cook a 6-lb chicken and it turned out very good, despite the steam escaping. I am going to try a pressure cooker made in Canada, rather than China where I believe this one was made. 10-30-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Purchase! This is my safe, time saver. On the days I use this to prepare my supper, I usually put my ingredients in this thing, right before I go pick up my kids from school. With this, I can leave the house, knowing that the timer will shut it off when it's ready and it'll still be warm when I get home if it's finished cooking. Instead of the kids coming home and grabbing a snack, supper is usually already ready. I have more than one (my others are smaller than this one), so nothing is overcooked (veggies get a bit squishy if they're cooked too long or sitting in the liquid). I LOOOOOOVE this machine if you can't tell. Best feature I like is the lid staying attached till you remove it to wash. 10-30-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by 2nd one in 2 years Used second one for almost year on monthly basis. Hearing elements quit. Ordered another on third use and can't get it to seal for pressuring. 10-26-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best purchase ever!!! This is the best thing I could've ever bought! So easy to use and easy to clean up. I luv it!!! 10-25-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Why Did I Hesitate? I was on the fence about the size but it's perfect! I made a cheese cake and it turned out fantastic. Can't wait to try more recipes. 10-24-15
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not bad. But lacking what you need. The pressure cooker worked great with a roast we cooked the other night in 50min however it does not come with any book of recipes so you will have to go online and try and find one that will work with this cooker. QVC has a book by the blue-jean chief however it cost extra and is not included. I would have paid a little extra for the book to be included because without it you are lost. Thinking about returning the cooker. 10-24-15
