CooksEssentials 6 Individual Loaf & Cake Maker
My QUICHE Maker!!! ♥
THIS is a wonderful little unit, deserving of the Cook's' Essentials name! Small footprint and SO NON STICK! It's really great! The day it came I got the news I have diabetes. All ok ... am older. So - I made Quiche for us for dinner ... and another night Wisconsin Cheese Pie made with cheddar. I am sure anything that uses Bisquick, and says "Makes it's own crust" would be perfect here. I have a recipe for coconut pie like that and will try soon. too The 3 Quiches for him, and 3 for me, (makes a total of 6), with a nice salad was a perfect fast/easy dinner for us on a hot summer night. They poufed up!! Pretty!
Great Fun For Kids
I specifically purchased this for my kids who love to cook & bake. They can make cakes brownies etc without having to use the big oven.. They love using it! Grandmas should get this for their grandchildren.
Returning it as way too shallow
Bought this in red and while it is compact and pretty on the outside the wells to pour the batter in are way too shallow. I have 2 sets of pans that have 4 individual small loaf pans in each of them and wanted to see if this might be easier, but it is way too small and shallow. I am returning this item as won't work for me.
Can't believe QVC sells this product
I watched the video and thought this would be a great little gadget to make brownies, corn muffins, etc. like they showed so you don't have to heat up oven and have portion control. I thought it was odd the people did not sample the delicious looking variety of things that came out. It comes with simple directions fill 3/4 full and heat 5-8 minutes. That should have been a clue. Tried the corn bread. I can't believe how bad the stuff came out. It was like a rubber brick and not edible.
Love my little loaf maker
Using a boxed cake mix I made a total of 34 mini butter pecan cakes, the cake mix box said you could make approximately 24 cupcakes so I was very proud of the Loaf Maker. They were great. I read and followed the instructions and it was no problem to bake the little cakes. I'm planning on making cornbread next. I did use cooking oil on a paper towel to grease the reservoirs and there was absolutely no sticking. I used a very flexible silicone spatula to aid in removing the cakes as well as the little black spatula that comes with the maker, both work equally well. I highly recommend all the Cook's Essentials Makers.
