K35934 - Cook's Essentials 3 Qt Stainless Steel Digital Pressure Cooker 4.1 5 32 32
A failure in the kitchen Purchased this cooker about a year ago. As a single person, I did not use it that often but even at that, this item did not last. The top is very hard to put on especially if you have arthritis issues. 03-08-13
Review is for 2 Qt size Perfect for two! I use this every morning for my quinoa breakfast. I love that I can just prepare and go and when I return to eat it is ready....no more standing over the stove and it comes out perfect every time. I was able to get it as a OTO in Dec/Jan(?) I love the compact size since I don't prepare large meals. I have only cooked quinoa in it so far...so I can only review on that. Cleans up nice and easy to care for. Sits on my counter since I use it everyday. 03-01-13
Don't Last Very Long Second electric pressure cooker I bought from QVC, this one went out too. They only last about a years seams like. :( 03-01-13
So So I have only cooked once with this pressure cooker. I like the timer as it takes the guess work out of things. I have the Chef Ramsey pressure cooker and it cooks great corn on the cob and I believe my apple dessert came out great as well as Steak Diane. But as with the Ramsey pressure cooker I am having trouble with the liquid. I follow the instruction to the letter and it seems like there is never enough liquid and the end of the cooking time. My meat is burnt or hard crusted. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I like how both pressure cookers cook meals quickly 02-25-13
Great Pressure Cooker But........ This is a great pressure cooker. It makes meals fast and with my new cookbook it's amazing what you can make in it. The only thing I don't like is there is no steamer basket that you can purchase for it that you need for certain recipes. I have steamed corn in it that turns out amazing but it's great for steaming if you can put the food right in the water. Not all foods you can do that for. I'd love to see Cooks Essentials come up with something like that. HINT HINT!!!!! 02-20-13
Good but doesn't last This was great to cook in while it lasted. I had it a little over one year. Used it at maybe once a week and the food was excellent. Didn't want to cook any other way. Then one day the valve popped off! I never even put it in the dishwasher, always washed by hand. Could never get the valve back on properly. While trying one day, the bottom circle of the valve came off too. Sometimes I would still be able to use it if I fussed over it but other times it just steamed out all the liquid in the pot and ruined the meal! Tried it one more time and steam came out everywhere, ruining dinner! I think you should get more than one year from an appliance! I gave 2 stars, because when it did work it was wonderful! 02-17-13
FAILED AGAIN I loved this pressure cooker UNTIL it died an ugly death - LOL. I've returned 3 of these conceptually fabulous pressure cookers. However, all 3 have failed for various reasons. The last one never sealed so no pressure at all, so the chicken had to be thrown away. Come on Bob, spend the bucks to produce a quality product please. I'm lost without a pressure cooker :( The other brands offered seemed all to have fatal flaws too so again :(. 02-12-13
Use ALL the time! I've had this pressure cooker/slow cooker for about two years. After faithful use 1-2 times per week, the valve just broke. I'll definitely replace it with another. It's the perfect size for two people! 02-10-13
ONE OF MY BEST PURCHASES ! So far, I DO think this was my "best purchase ever" from QVC. I was really hesitant to order it - but by gosh, everything they said about it is true. I was afraid of pressure cookers, having had the old stove kind once. And I ordered one from QVC last year but sent it back right after it arrived (did not even try it out) because of the fear of them. But I "braved it out" at DH's insistence and ordered the 3qt - there are just 2 of us - and I LOVE IT! I have already done beef stew twice, cooked carrots in it, and did pork chops with potatoes in it last night. It works just like the instructions say, and the non-stick inner pan lifts out and just wipes right out with soap and water. Wish I had not waited the year but now I am enjoying it. 02-09-13
Great product! This saves time. And it saves money too, in two ways. First, it makes it easy to use frozen stuff when time is short (so frozen stuff is less likely to hide out till it has to be thrown out), and second, it makes meals inexpensively and deliciously, at least as good as (and cheaper than) restaurant meals. Directions are clear. It's even easy to clean. Love it! 02-04-13
Great purchase for my 89 year old father Roast beef melts in your mouth. My dad loves it! Now cooks all the time. 01-29-13
Only one complaint My kitchen doesn't have the perfect spot for the pressure cooker near an outlet so I have to juggle other appliances for the cord to reach. Another 6 inches of cord would surely help. Otherwise, it's a great little appliance. Perfect when your family dwindles to two people. 01-23-13
