K35062 - Cook's Essentials 22L Convection Oven w/ Warmer& Rotisserie
I thought this would be the answer to the sweltering heat we get in Arizona. To bake and rotisserie would be ideal in this tabletop oven instead of heating up the whole kitchen. My first effort was to make a frozen pizza. I set the oven to the determine temp, but never knew when it got there. After 15 minutes I thought surely it would be perfect to put the pizza in. After cooking it the regular/not convection way the pizza was still cold in the center and so I baked it a little longer. All this did was make the crust like a hockey puck. Also, I never realized the removable tray on top was actually a part of the oven. I don't see how this loose fitting tray could capture the heat within the oven. Anyway, I ended up returning it. It just wasn't going to work for me.
The fan is positioned low, so if you have the baking sheet (that is included) any higher than the lowest level, it does not allow the fan to circulate the air.
I already have a great working, convection toaster oven, but I wanted to upgrade to one that had a rotisserie. My 4# chicken was too large. When it turned, the bird would drag the pan at the hip.
I tried using it to toast a bun. It never toasted, just got warm.
My entire kitchen is outfitted from only from items I purchased from QVC. Still, this is not welcomed here.
You have to turn it on and use the timer ~ That's what brings the power on.
I read how to use it and it's WONDERFUL.
Slow to Toast and Everything Else
Thought this would be a great addition to our kitchen. We'd use our oven less, use the top heating element for hotdogs & grilled cheese and other items... and hey! It can be used as a Rotisserie. Well we didn't even get that far. It takes forever to toast. And not everything is explained in the instruction manual. There are 3 little symbols on the timer part, yet nowhere in the manual does it say what those 3 symbols stand for. We tried cooking burgers on the top and they barely got hot, baked biscuits last night and the bottoms were totally burnt, yet the tops were very pale -- even with the convection on. The on air demonstrations really suck you in, everything looks so perfect, etc. I even tried to make fries the other night and they took forever and even when they were done, they looked nowhere near the fries that were on the on-air demonstration. This is being sent back. Sometimes a good deal isn't always a good deal.
I was very disappointed. I was really looking forward to this. No Power - wouldn't turn on at all. I'm sending it back and won't risk reordering.
Handy little oven
Once I learned you have to preheat the oven for 6 minutes on 450 F, the oven works great. The bake function doesn't work to bake, but if you put it on toast it cuts the cooking time in half. Could of used a better drip tray & things slide out of the oven, but over all a good product.
Sent it back
I was so excited to get this but I had to send it back. It did not work at all. NO POWER.
Maybe it works okay. I would not know and am not going to risk ordering it again.
Not what I expected
This item is not what I expected. There was no pre-heat selection on the oven so how are you going to know when the oven is up to the correct temperature to do baking or cooking. I returned the oven.
What a disappointment. I was really looking forward to this one, but now that I have had it for a little over a week, it's going back. The toaster function barely functions and baking function isn't much better. The meatloaf took way longer than it should and my crescent rolls were a total disaster. The bottoms were burnt and the middle was still raw and I don't know if the baking tray is supposed to be non stick, but it isn't. I had to scrape them off the sheet.
Sorry QVC, but this one is coming back to you.
Just received this to replace different brand that only lasted 6 months.
The size is great for two. The only complaint I have at this point is that there is no anti-tip on the wire shelf. Almost spilled a dish of scalloped potatoes on myself.
