CooksEssentials Rapid Wave Hi-Speed Low-Energy Oven
Does not live up to it's advertisement
I have looked at this type product for ages. I prefer to shop on QVC but this product was a total disappointment. Even used foil as one reviewer said. Beef, pork nor chicken cooked done and it always took 2 to 3 times longer to get it to 1/2 done. Finished cooking all in crockpot or on top of stove.
best buy ever
we have used it and like it we recoment it what else will will you buy after using thi product I highly have people to buy it
Best Purchase Ever
We purchased this from QVC on March 6, 2012. We just love this; Cook's Essentials Rapid Wave Hi-Speed Low-Energy Oven. We can make fried chicken that is out of this world. We place it on the top rack and we flour the chicken. We let the chicken rest in the oven for 30 minutes before turning on the oven. We found out that you need to increase the temperture from 375 to 400. But you still set the timer for 35 minutes. Unless you prefer crispy chicken like we do. Then set the timer for 40 minutes. The chicken is fried and juicey. We discovered that by using the metal ring, it keeps the chicken skin from burning. We have made pork chops and steak too. They are so good ! Clean up is so easy. I remove the drippings with a paper towel. I put about two inches of warm water on the bottom of the oven with a few drops of dish soap. I set the timer for wash and 10 minutes. After the oven cools down, I pour out the soapy water, and rinse the oven out with clean warm water.
I dry the oven and put it away for next time I use it.
Somebody should of made this oven years ago. It has made my life so much easier.
good product at a good price
My old NuWave oven blew a gasket and I started a search for a replacement system. This was the best bargain I could find. So far it has performed very well. I would recommend this to anyone. I even tried baking cinnamon rolls made from refrigerated biscuit dough in a can and they turned out very well. I have done several types of fish and they always turn out juicy and flaky.
Great for singles!!
Faster, less electricity, simple temp/time selectors, made with clear glass, and at countertop level so I can watch the food cook! What's not to like?? For several years I've wanted to try this kind of cooker and because of QVC's return policy I knew I could return it if I didn't like it. I finally decided to try it. I'm really glad I did. This thing is great for the things I normally use an oven for day to day. I'd probably still use my stove oven for a large turkey, ham, etc. but for smaller quantities, like single and double servings, this thing is terrific.
This oven makes the best chicken breasts!! Pork tenderloin is delicious as well. Everything comes out juicy and flavorful and cleanup is super simple. Helps to spray the racks with cooking spray first.
I was excited about this product because it was a good price. I opened the box cleaned it, I got ready to cook some chicken in it the late come on. It never cooked my chicken, I was disappointed I packed up and called qvc customer service to let them know it was working and I sent it back. Don't waste your money!
This oven is well worth the cost, it cooks food fast and evenly, frozen chicken breasts that take an hour took cook in my regular oven would always come out dry, in this little oven it took less than 30 minutes and came out so tender and juicy. delicous. I have attempted to cook fish in the past and always ruined it but not in this little oven my fish came out perfect.. I have even baked in it.. I dont think ill ever eat at a restraunt again!
Best Ever!!!!! Better than eating out!
I have wanted one of these for the last year and researched this type of oven. I love watching David and decided to try this. It makes the best burghers and fries and everything in between. Cleanup is a snap. For 1-2 people you can prepare a whole meal in no time and it tastes spectular. With this hot summer not using the stove or oven eliminates the excess heat. Love Love Love this. Cook's great roast beef
Cooks roast beef the way I like it (medium rare) better than any appliance i have ever used. Easy clean up also.
do the reasearch first
I saw this when the presentation was almost over. I should have read the reviews and should have checked to see if there were similiar items offered. This purchase shows that you really need to do the research. Too late to return. The idea is great but 2 medium potatoes took 40 M not 20, steaks took 22 M, 3lb chicken took almost 2x as long as the "recipe book" said and dark meat was still not done, so I finished that in my oven and used it the next day. I did a roast which was very good, tho. The recipe book is a joke. If you notice everything is done on the low rack. Did pork chops that way and ended up with a pork roast. Use common sense and use the racks as you would a regular oven.
Please do a cook book that could be used with any oven of this type. I own Cooks Essential electric pressure cooker and a deep fryer which were out of the park hits. Sorry I can't love this.
Good machine....Very poor instructions.
I agree with those reviews regarding the over browning of the top of the food. But the very poor instruction booklet and the lackluster recipe book definitely reduces the rating of the unit. We need more information. May I suggest QVC develop a video that can accompany the oven?At this point, I would be thrilled if I could find more information about enhancing the way the unit can be used. Can I cook casseroles, pot roasts, chili....etc. in the unit? I am convinced I am not using the full potential of this tool and neither are all the other cooks who purchased this product
