I didn't think I would ever purchase a pressure cooker, but after seeing this demonstrated on David's show, I was impressed and ordered it for a GREAT price. Boy, am I glad I did! This is one of the best kitchen appliances that I have ever had. The fact that it cooks so quickly is a huge plus. I can cook several meals on the weekend and keep them in the fridge or freezer for warming up during the work week. And the flavor of the food is incredible. The first thing I ever cooked in this was ribs, and they were absolutely fabulous!!! Everything I've made has turned out great. And I love it that it can also be used as a slow cooker. Just make sure to thoroughly read the instructions so that you know the safe way to release the steam. A great product for a great price!! Love it!
Rated 5 out of 5 by trvlngranix3 I love my blue one
I loved my blue one so much I ordered this one to be sent to where I would be working for quick good meals.
When I arrived to start using, the lid was jammed. Could not get out of lock position.
Wanted something besides fast food for my stay..

I love this pressure cooker. I am so happy I ordered it! If you follow directions, it works perfectly. I have only had it for a week, and used it several times. I ordered it in the green, and was surprised that it actually seems a little bigger than it looks on the presentation. I only wish I could have gotten it for the presentation price...that would have been a steal!

This is my first pressure cooker and I would not be without it. Since I have received this item all main dishes are cooked in it. I even did a shrimp boil in it. Love Love it.
I would like to know where I can buy pan that would fit in here or a 6qt as I would love to try desserts.
Rated 3 out of 5 by joshieca Don't be fooled by the host!
I have to say that I was disappointed with this purchase. All of the hosts made claims that "in just 10 mins you'll have hot, good food." The reality is far from this. When the claim is a 10 min cook time for something, it's often more like 45 min. This thing takes 10 to 15 mins to come up to pressure, and than another 10 to 15 mins to release the pressure. All in all you'll spend 45 min for something that claims 10 min, so plan ahead.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bogey17 So far, So Good, and Quite Satisfied!
I purchased this 4 quart CE electric pressure cooker with some skepticism, I must admit. However, the TSV of $39.96 was too good an offer to pass up. After preparing pot roast, chicken soup, beef short-rib soup, lentil and split pea soups, baby back ribs, just to name a few things I have cooked, I must tell you that each dish turned out quite well and very flavorful in a reduced amount of time. A nice appliance, for the most part, and relatively compact. It stores away nicely inside my kitchen cabinet, since I live in a NYC apartment which doesn't give me a tremendous amount of counter space. So far, I am very pleased by the performance of this cooker and do recommend it particularly for 2 people. (Probably can feed more than 2, but my partner and I have healthy appetites, and rarely have any leftovers anyway.) The only reason why I am rating this product 4 stars instead of 5 is that, first, when I ordered the cinnamon color, it appeared on the demonstration to be a deep rich red. However, when I received the cooker, it was clearly a very light brown, which was a definite disappointment for me. The color obviously appeared to be different on camera as opposed to the actual color when it arrived. The second issue I had with the cooker was that the large sealing ring had a deep tear in it. I called Maxi-Matic immediately, and they accommodated me in fair amount of time, and shipped a new one FREE OF CHARGE, which was a big plus, and now, all is well. So, all in all, I am satisfied with my 4 quart CE pressure cooker, and hope that she keeps on working without any problems or worries.

This was my very first pressure cooker. I was afraid of them but this is so easy that I overcame my fear quickly. It takes a short learning curve. You have to make sure that you are adding enough liquid . I add wine, broth, gravy, tomatoes and a combo of these liquids depending on what I am making and what I have available etc. I use it so often that I am getting sick of seeing it on my counter. I put it away and back out it comes. The pot roast is to die for, and my daughter who hated pot roast is my new competitor. I love that you can brown the meat first function. I made beef short ribs, wow. Pork is so good in this that again you will be fighting off family members to the pot. I make stews and soups - i cook macaroni in the soup after soup is done - I add macaroni in and hit the rice button to cook the macaroni in the soup - perfection. I throw in whole tomatoes for added flavor etc - the meat can go in frozen, no problem, just always add enough liquid!! I guess you can sense how much I love this item!!!

Cooker was sealed in a box but when I unwrapped it and after using it, it looked like it had been previously used, as it has scratches all over the front of the display plate, Worked well but Looked used and somewhat damaged !
