Cook's Essentials 4 qt. 2-in-1 Lightweight Cast Iron Pan is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 320.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned The top of this pan did not seat properly and rocked on the bottom pan. QVC is exchanging it for a new one but if it has the same defect, I will return it for money back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as advertised A bit disappointed. It was advertised as light weight. This is not light weight. I worry about led in the paint because of where it was made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tale of two pans... I have had a fair amount of experience with this set by now, so I felt compelled to review it. I initially bought this set for my sister's family. I got it in blue, and it was BEAUTIFUL. However, when it was used on high heat before my sister was used to keeping the burner temperature lower for this pot, the nonstick bubbled. We continued to use it for months though, without any real issues. That is, until my brother-in-law used it this week on high heat, and a big chunk of the nonstick coating chipped off. We will retire the pan now (but keep the grill pan lid because it's fine.) I would be really upset, but the product's use and care guide says that cooking with this pot on high heat could damage the pan. It does. That was operator error on our part. I subsequently bought myself this set in aquamarine (beautiful!) and have had NO troubles with it. I never use it on high heat, I let it come to temperature at medium-high heat, then lower it a bit (as the product's instructions tell you to do. Cast iron retains the heat!) The nonstick has been great, and I am very pleased with the set. To address some issues raised by other reviews: Yes, it is heavier than I expected, but I got used to that quickly. After I recently ordered a Cooks Essentials enameled cast iron pan that isn't from their lightweight line, I can tell you that this set's weight is reasonable by comparison! Yes, when the set arrived, it was smaller than I had imagined it to be. But, we have frequently made meals for a family of five in the 4 qt pot, and it's fine! The thing that feels REALLY small is the grill pan lid. But we have used it to brown ground beef and add a jar of spaghetti sauce in it weekly for months, and it works out fine. So, if you get this, just follow the manufacturer's use and care instructions! Honestly, if they made this set with a 5 qt pot (and the grill lid would probably be bigger for that size too) I would probably buy it because it'd be the ideal size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this cookware I just got my 2-piece cast iron cookware, and not only is it beautiful, it cooks like a dream. I marinated some steak tips, then cooked the steak along with some onions and peppers in the lid. At the same time I boiled some potatoes in the 4-quart pan for mashed potatoes. The pans heated up quickly and retained heat throughout the cooking time, and my meat browned beautifully. Goodness, what a great meal that was. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I'm planning to cook a pork butt next, and I think that it is going to be just great in this cast iron pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Expected I wasn't sure what to make of this pan when I ordered it. Four star reviews, but a lot of negativity in the reviews. Still, I wanted a cast iron grill and the price was right. I have not been disappointed so far. We purchased ours in early April and have used it at least three times a week since without issue. The grill pan is what we use the most and it cooks evenly and beautifully. I've owned old school cast iron and find this to be considerably lighter than that, I'm not sure how light people think cast iron can be. It's still iron, there will be some heft. The grill pan is heavier than the pot, but not by much. Would buy again for sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THEY LIED ABOUT THE WEIGHT IN THE PRESENTATION I already had cast iron pans that I had purchased somewhere else. However too heavy for me. So I was happy when I saw the presentation on QVC describing these as a LIGHTWEIGHT cast iron set. Let me tell you that this set is even HEAVIER than the ones I have. I don't understand why they would describe them as lightweight in national television to get people to buy them. I think is very unfair to the customers, and bad reputation for QVC. These pans are very heavy and hard to lift. They are good for men, not women because they are NOT practical to handle. They are going back. What I hate about this is that now I have to pay for return shipping when they should be the ones paying for it for selling something with the wrong description.
