K29957 - Cooks Essentials 250 Watt Food Grinder w/3Discs& Accessories
Wouldn't hesitate to buy! I ground my own chicken breasts to make chicken breakfast sausage!!! Totally worked! better buy before it sells out!!
Good product, but needs improvement
I have used the grinder twice with completely different results. The first time the meat was 75% frozen and it worked perfectly. The second time, not so good. After clearing out the clearance meats at our local store, we started grinding as soon as we got home. The meat was almost hot dog consistency, even after changing to the largest disc. Both times the meat was cut in 1" cubes. The key for this machine to work properly, the meat needs to be almost frozen. For this price, we will keep the grinder and work with it.
A couple of tips - if your recipe calls for water, add that to the grinder after all the meat is done. You can also cut the crust from bread and grind that after your meat to reduce waste. We also added all the spices and sent it down the chute with the meat.
QVC & Cooks Essential's should send all of us the new and improved model first to test. After working with this grinder, we know better than anyone what to look for.
This grinder is recommended ONLY if you are willing to get your meat almost frozen.
" IT DOES AS ADVERTISED"
I feel, if a product performs as shown, it is a winner. This product does. Just remember to chill the meat etc before using. Also makes great Salmon cutlets. And takes just seconds to clean.
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE THIS GRINDER. I USE THIS TO GRIND TURKEY BREAST AND CHICKEN BREAST FOR BURGERS AND SAVES ME TONS OF MONEY. IF YOU CAN EVEN FIND TURKEY OR CHICKEN BREAST (GRINDED FOR HAMBURGER) AT THE STORE IT COST AN ARM AND LEG. NOW I CAN DO MY OWN AND HAVE IT IN THE FREEZER,READY TO PUT ON THE GRILL. THANKS FOR OFFERING THIS TO US , NOW I CAN EAT HEALTHIER WITHOUT GOING BROKE.
Way too noisy and underpowered. But a great idea, just needs work.
I LOVE THIS GRINDER
I almost did not buy this because of the demonstration on QVC.But i am very glad that i took a chance.I am having fun with this making my own special mixture of ground beef.It is very easy to clean also.If you follow the directions and cut the meat in one inch pieces first. It grinds fast and easy.I do not even have the use the push stick. It just comes right out without any problems. It grinds beef, turkey, chicken, and pork without even a slight slow down of the motor.I can't wait to make my own sausage without all the sodium and preservatives that the store bought ones have. This is one of my better purchases.Thank you Cooks Essentials & QVC for another great value.
NO PINK SLIME FOR ME
I used packaged chuck stew meat from the super. I put the meat in the freezer a while before grinding it for a meatloaf. The result was perfection. The grinder has one speed and operates in forward or reverse.
I've had another stand alone food grinder from a major name and the $50 attachment to a stand mixer, both of which I threw out.
This Cooks Essentials Food Grinder will become your one true love. My only question is, How does one use the Kubbe Attachment?
Forget it for Grinding Meat
The unit will not grind pork or beef as it clogs up so easily and will not produce a good flow...in 20 minutes of grinding it only did about one cup of ground meat....my old manual grinder (had to go to an 1889 made hand grinder) got 5lbs. done in the next 20 minutes.....it was sent back.....needs more power and larger flow tube....
love loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. do you carry the different size fannels?
I used this grinder for the first time a few days ago and I LOVED it!! The grinder worked great! Thanks QVC and Cooks Essentials for another great product!!
