Would not recommend..Broken in 3 small pieces, thus the lights don't show...Also windmill does not rotate.Did not open till July 1st, and unable to return
Set it in garden, but no action.Very dissappointed.

I was excited to get this Windmill Fountain for another water feature on my deck...It's adorable and good sized. I think it's made and painted fairly well for imported.
Mine started right up and worked perfectly except for the spinning windmill blades which would increase in speed until they were whirling fast like a plane propeller. I wanted them to spin slower and there is no way to adjust them at all.
There is no on or off fountain switch either. The fountain pump is adjustable though and a good size. It works well.
The spinning windmill blades began to squeak quite loudly and It was really distracting from the waterfall so I took a chance and immobilized the blades by pulling them out from their motor. Now the blades just sit there and spin with the wind which for me was ideal...
The look and the sound of the windmill fountain is good now and I'm pleased.

I had to send the first one back because the windmill blades did not spin. The second one works better. The blades spun the first day but I had to play around with helping it get started to spin the next day when it was turned on. Cheaply made and will wait and see if this second one continues to have problems with the blades spinning. Will not order a third one. It is too much trouble to put this together and fill with water to see if it works and then empty it out and dry it out to send it back. And it's heavy to haul to the post office. I was surprised there are no other reviews on this product. I am interested to know if others have had similar issues with their windmill. Also the door on the back that slides to hide the opening is either too small and barely stays in or the first one was a bit over sized and difficult to slide into place.
