Rated 1 out of 5 by 8134 does not spin in the wind
I am not happy with this wind spinner, it does not spin at all, I have had it up over a month and no spinning. I have a shorter one from a different source and it spins at the slightest breeze. I would not buy this or recommend it to anyone.

Was hoping colors would be brighter. One bolt and acorn did not fit properly had to go to hardware store and purchase. One side doesn't still wouldn't spin.
This is my second Plow and Hearth and had same issue with first one.
I don't like to return items so I'm very disappointed.

I've read the other reviews. Very surprised at the low ratings and all the troubles.
We love this wind spinner with its unique design. 5 stars all the way. Our wind spinner arrived early, went together perfectly, and works just fine. It's very cute in our front yard and a lot of neighbors have stopped to admire it. The solar light stays lit until after midnight, which is plenty.
Our wind spinner is shortened by one pole length, which I removed because I wanted the lower height in my border. I placed a decorative vine pyramid over the pole at the base to make the two pieces appear to be one unit. A low growing patio clematis will shortly twine up the pyramid and onto the pole--but not high enough to inhibit the free spin.
Like I said, we love this wind spinner. No problems whatsoever. It would be a great gift for anyone.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my solar spinner, guys! Yes, it took the enclosed tool and a little muscle to put the poles together successfully, but, hey...once together, it was sturdy, fit tightly, and is definitely NOT cheap quality! As to the concentric circles rotating...yes, you had to tweak it somewhat. Able to move all circles nicely, and when a storm is approaching, the anemometer spins superbly. I feel like Helen Hunt's aunt in Twister. Have it in front yard, 3 ft from window, and when night's falling and lights come on, I watch all evening the changing colors from my leather recliner as I'm TV binging. Will be buying for siblings for Christmas! (Have had mine for about 8 months...)

My neighbor watched my 2 pugs for a week - she likes wind spinners so I purchased this one as a gift to her for watching the dogs --- it only spins from one of the circles - inside outside does not spin - when I say it does not spin - I mean it would take a hurricane to make this thing spin - I think it would fly before it would spin (used w-d 40 no spin) - I want to send it back but she said it was ok and she likes it for the way it looks. Don't buy this unless you are looking for yard art -- no spinning in Apopka, Florida- if you want something to spin buy one of those twirling things on a stick that you blow on to make it spin.

I purchased this item some time ago to put in my newly redone patio, well the pieces don't fit together they are crooked, it doesn't spin because the pieces keep hitting each other, the solar light worked for about 5 seconds, I took it apart to see if it needed a new battery, nope it just doesn't work. Since I purchased it sometime ago I don't think I can return it. Worst thing ever, so disappointing.

After using this for a few weeks, now - I don't seem to have the same problems as other customers. Mine went together easily - and most of the time, the globe does glow during the nighttime. However, that said - when I pull the globe out of its holder, I notice there is rust at the bottom of the cup. That means that water is getting into the cup area.
When the light failed to come on - I tried pushing the blue button again to engage it, but it didn't seem to hold in the ON Position. I tried making a small ball of foil - to put in the cup, so that when the globe gets inserted, it would push the blue button to the ON position. That didn't help - I will keep trying.
Mine rotates fine in the wind. I have the larger colored petals spinner, but put it in a different location. For the low price - I am pleased with mine.
