I was very skeptical of this product so as soon as it arrived I brushed it on my roots and I was totally AMAZED. It lasts all day and looks totally natural. I ordered Blonde though my roots are grayish brown I use a light base color and blonde highlights (weave.) I am totally thrilled with it. Not a substitute for the salon but ideal for when you just have no time to go to your hair appointment and need to look presentable until you can get there!!!
Rated 4 out of 5 by snow angel Easy to use
I have tried all sorts of products to cover my roots when there isn't time to color my hair. This temporary root cover up seems to work well & it is easy to use. Much of my hair is white but I dye it closer to its original dark brown color. The product covers that white regrowth at my temple or part with ease. It seems a little powder on the brush goes a long way. I expect this purchase to last a couple years at least. I only gave it 4 stars because it seems overpriced to me.

Doesn't cover the grey hair but your skull. I don't recommend getting this.

I purchased this primarily to cover my gray roots between hair coloring appointments. Well it works phenomenally well for that. I also found it very useful for making my hair look thicker. I have a ton of hair, but my part seems to be getting more pronounced, and I do not enjoy how that looks. I used this to make my part look like it used to. Just brushing a little of this stuff at my hairline and into my part makes me look so much better.

I use this to cover up my gray hair that comes in here and there. If you get the
growth of gray around your hairline, this product is for you. It brushes on easily and stays on until you wash your hair. Excellent product!

After using Joan Rivers root coverup until I needed more, I decided to try another one...this one is blonder and works better for my hair color. The Joan Rivers cover up was too brown and therefor not light enough.

I have tried every single product on the market from high end to dollar store and this is the ONLY solution that works. It covers up the gray and does not run all over your hands or pillows after you put it on. I have had one horrible experience after the next and was so hesistant to waste anymore money on these types of products. This is the BEST cover up powder that you can buy. Do NOT hesistate. You will be so happy.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Geer1 Did not work for me...
I have dark brown hair and it did not fully cover my gray roots at all. The more you applied because you could still see the gray it would not cover . Will stick with Joan rivers version.

I've tried many different hair color product like this one. It is so superior to any other one out there.

I use this often between regular dye sessions. My husband helps me on the top and back, and he is very impressed with the coverage, and the fact that you can't tell the powder from your regular color. You cannot see it! Blends in beautifully. So glad to have an option that keeps me from having to dye my hair so often, not to mention cover that gray that just pops up when you least want it to!
Rated 3 out of 5 by budokongrrl Nice, but not for me
This is definitely less "messier" to use than the Joan Rivers Great Hair Day. It doesn't sprinkle powder all over the place. However, the color for me, I ordered the black, didn't really match my black hair. My hair is a "natural" brown-black and the powder is better suited for blue-black hair. The brown option would be too light. The Joan Rivers product is much more natural looking for my hair color. Also, maybe because the Joan Rivers product specifically says it's a "fill-in' powder and the Color Wow does not, the Color Wow is not as good as the Joan Rivers product for filling in thin spots, which is the primary reason why I use these types of products. I will re-order the Joan Rivers product, and stick with that one. So far, it seems to be the best product for me.
