Gorgeous! Such a great piece of Irish art. The colors are beautiful and the size is perfect! Not too small, not too big. 05-18-13
BEAUTIFUL This De Ris vase is a beautiful piece of pottery. This is my third piece of his work and all three of them are a work of art. The colors are many shades of muted blues and greens, both light and dark. Each time I look at one of the pieces I have been lucky enough to purchase I think of Ireland and how much I would love to visit. 03-30-13
Not dissapointed I was hesitant to order this peice based on a few reviews that remarked about the asymmetry of the top of the vase. I had to take a chance since I have three other Colm De Ris pieces that I adore. I was not disappointed. The colors are beautiful and you definitely get the feeling of a handmade piece. I like the slenderness of the piece as it gives more options for placement. To the reviewer who mentioned that it was stamped "Made in India" - mine was stamped "MADE IN IRELAND". 03-29-13
BEAUTIFUL This vase is so much prettier in person; it is sitting on a shelf beside a similar large plate and it is stunning; everything is perfect on it, great colors and design. Worth the price. Love it. 03-25-13
Very Pretty And Unique! I just received this vase, and am very pleased with it. The blue glaze spirals down into the green, creating a nice balance of the colors. I appreciate the asymmetry of the top, and the overall uniqueness of this handmade piece...it isn't a mass-produced, same-as-the-rest product. I love the stamping of " Made in Ireland" and " Colm De Ris" on the bottom edge...and knowing it was handmade in Ireland, where I hope to visit some day! 03-21-13
Stunning! Extraordinary! I am so pleased! This is the first time I ever started my Christmas shopping in March, but I may not be able to wait until Christmas to give it! Absolutely beautiful! This is the perfect gift for anyone! 03-21-13
So disappointing I was so looking forward to receiving this vase--beautiful, according to photos and video. The minute I took it out of the box, I knew it was going back. The blue glaze looked like it had been glopped on, spilling over the emblem. It looked as if someone had tried to wipe it off the emblem. The glaze also dripped down the cleft in a very in attractive way. I know each one is unique since they are handmade, but this just seemed carelessly done. 03-20-13
No Luck of the Irish For Me! I am Irish through and through in my ancestry. How can my fellow Irishmen pass along this vase to me? I just received this moments ago in the mail. My heart sank when I took it out of the box. The neck of the vase is so off kilter that it looks more like it was crafted by Picasso. It leans so badly to one side that putting flowers in it would look comical, although I could cry more than laugh about now. Even the coloration is so badly rendered. How did this pass the stringent Quality Control? Going back immediately. So wanted this little beauty from Ireland in the condition it should have come. 03-06-13
Beautiful but returned This vase was stunningly beautiful. HOWEVER, I had to return it because the base was not finished off properly and it was not steady - it rocked like a seesaw. Too bad as I would have kept it if it stood flat on a surface. 02-25-13
An Irish Treasure On a trip to Ireland in May of 2012, I was walking in Temple Bar and found myself in the midst of a street fair. There was a very nice man with beautiful pieces of pottery and I stopped to look at the vases and pitchers and bowls, but I kept thinking I'd seen them before (which was strange because that was my first trip to the Emerald Isle). I kept looking at the pottery and then back at the artist, and it finally dawned on me...he had been on QVC! I asked him (very tentatively) if I was right, and he seemed thrilled that someone from the States had recognized him and his work. I didn't have room to pack any larger pieces, so I bought a small piece and promised that I would purchase a vase from QVC when I was back at home. Well, I did and it is proudly on display in my house, not only as a lovely piece of Irish art, but as a reminder of the beautiful trip and my chance run-in with a QVC artist. Thank you, Colm De Ris, for being so charming in person, and for gracing us in the States with your beautiful pieces of art. 09-04-12
nice vase I bought this vase as an accent piece. It is beautiful. I especially like the rustic look that it has....... it looks like it could come from Ireland........ years ago. 04-28-12
