LOVE IT!
This was given to me as a gift! My husband and I love it. The whole lantern is perfect for setting on our porch in the evening. The small lights are wonderful. I use it when I am walking the dog at night. The lights clip and also hang. I hang one on my fingers while I'm carrying the treat bag. So perfect for evening walks. I put an extra one in my coat pocket just in case!

Don't bother
The first time I received this one of the four lights didn't work. The replacement they send three of the four lights didn't work.

Great item
I bought one for my husband and one I gave to my brother-in-law. Very easy to operate and lights were bright and easy to remove as single lights. I liked it myself and it will come in handy if power goes out. Just in the last couple months, even though its winter , we have had 3 storms where we lost power. Wish we had this lantern then, especially because of the hanger and magnet. I do have a couple other small lights with magnets but batteries are not replaceable, ( throw aways) . My brother-in-law loved it because of the 4 removable lights. I had to tell him where I got it because he's thinking of getting several more to give his married son and daughter. It's sturdy and compact enough not to take up alot of space wherever you store it. 5 stars for sure.
Not a problem for us because it doesn't plug in, wouldn't have electricity anyway. I am a firm believer of being prepared, I keep extra batteries anyway. The other thing is it only uses AAA batteries. Have learned along time ago, if you give a gift that requires batteries, give them along with the gift (especially if you buy a gift for a child then find out they can't play with it due to No batteries included). It didn't upset me that batteries weren't included, price was very reasonable.

A nice little lantern
For the size it works well. The light is bright and like the fact that I can seperate it and carry individual lights around. Will definately come in handy for camping this year. Keep on hand for storms too. Overall, I like and think the price was good as well.

NOT REALLY RECHARGEABLE
I bought and sent this to my sister who lives in an area where they have blackouts. The description is not clear that this lantern does not plug in the wall nor come with a charging base (like my cordless vac). The hosts stated that this would be great for blackouts but blackouts, thank God aren't planned so you need fresh batteries at all times with this. It is in fact a cute EXPENSIVE glorified flashlight., OVER $33 with shipping and tax and then you have to provide your own batteries.. My sis is afraid to leave the batteries in the lantern for fear of "using" up the batteries and having no power when needed. I will be sending her a battery charger kit filled with rechargeable batteries.
I give it 3 stars because all of the lights worked on and off of the base and the light was clear and could be read by.. If one light runs out of power then you can "recharge" it at the base.unless the batteries have run out. Sis liked the size and thought it was clever but would also want to have the ability to recharge the entire lantern
If you plan on using this often, or to go on a very short camping trip then it may be okay for you. If not, maybe reconsider as I should have.

VERY HANDY
Bought 2 for relatives to keep in their cars. Checked them out to make sure they worked properly - and they did. A nice substitute for a flashlight because of being able to use the LEDs separately if necessary.

Defective
This item would be awesome ---- if the two that I ordered were not defective. I was counting on the Coleman brand coming through with top quality. Not so.
The top middle button did not work on both. One of the four lights was faulty on one of the lanterns. Returned both because of the defects. Too bad - if they worked they would be handy during power outages or on the patio after dark. I don't like monkeying around with returns so I won't order again.

It took 2 orders and still not perfect
Purchased for my daughters boyfriend for Christmas. First one arrived, one didn't light. Customer service was great and sent another one ASAP. Good thing I kept original, because new one, one also didn't light. Put the two bad lights on the one I returned. When it was received, he said the button to push all lights on didn't work (which I didn't realize it was supposed to do so I never checked) He said that didn't bother him and wanted to keep because the lights were bright. I would think with a name like Coleman, the quality would've been better. Plus, it is REALLY small.

Small but Mighty
I purchased three of these as Christmas gifts for family members. After being without power for several weeks after Superstorm Sandy, these were a must for future power outages. We tried them out, and they are exactly what we would need for light sources. Very compact, but powerful. As they are small, they are also easy to store when not in use, they don't take up much room. Easy to operate and move about. They can also be used for camping or just out on the patio, actually anywhere you would need a light source. Coleman is a trusted name and company that has been around for many years and we are all very pleased with the product.

This latern is Very Small
They must have used some good photography tricks on air becuase this latern was half the size that it looked on TV. However, its a well made product....sturdy....very good lighting source.....I like it very much.

Looked larger to me on TV - it's so tiny! But the light is good and bright - so I guess I'll keep it.

Small, but provides a lot of light
I bought this lantern in the large size and found it really helpful during a recent power outage. This is a much smaller more portable version of the large one. I was quite surprised by how very small this is, but it is a nice portable size that is easy to carry from room to room if you lose power. It runs on AA batteries and throws off a lot of light for its size. It's a good addition to an emergency kit.
