I had foot surgery and needed a pair of structured walking shoes. I kept them in the box until I was able to wear a shoe. I've worn them a few times now and although they are basically comfortable, the heel cup is too shallow and my socks constantly get pulled into the shoe. The 30 day return date has passed - so I'll be keeping them. I will try a thicker sock and see if this solves the problem. If not, then I'm stuck with a pair of shoes that I cannot walk in for any length of time as I don't appreciate having to pull up my socks every 15 minutes.

This shoe is actually the only shoe I wear. Now that I see they are selling out and I'm unable to buy the color I want it makes me really sad. I walk through the city as a commuter and work at a liquor store running around, carrying heavy items, and bashing my poor feet against concrete and stairs. I never can find a shoe that fits me the way I need it and no shoe actually worked for me until I got these! They need to bring them back for good because mine from all the damage and abuse I put them through finally need to be replaces after wearing out the heal till the shoes not have holes in them. I want these exact shoes but its getting harder to find them. If you can get these in your size get them NOW because they are the best shoes I've ever had.

As with all my styles of Clarks, these are very, very comfortable. They stay tied, which I love, look great, and provide super cushioning and stability. LOVE them.

2nd time I've tried Clarks, 2nd time I have to return because it was too big. Next time I will order 1/2 size smaller. If I could get these in a smaller size, I would reorder them. I really liked the bottom of the shoe, very nonslip, great for outdoors. I didn't think they were really comfortable and maybe that was because they were too big or because my feet just hurt. The upper heal is a little flimsy IMO. The other thing I liked about these shoes were the length of the shoe strings. I will try to get them in a smaller size. Although the brown really isn't my kind of color, it would make a good walking shoe. I generally likes Clark's shoes and would like to tell the manufacturer that I need enough shoe to hug my whole foot up my ankle somewhat, like they used to do in the old days. Seems like they are making us 3/4 of a shoe.

The back of the heel was too short and didn't cover my entire heel - uncomfortable and it kept slipping up and down when I walked.. Had to return :(
Rated 1 out of 5 by pmr627 I love every other pair of Clarks I own, but....
These are not for me. I have many more pairs of clarks than I care to admit to, and I love them all, but I cannot wear these shoes for more than a few hours before the balls of my feet start killing me. And the balls of my feet are not where I typically have foot pain. I really wanted them to work out and gave them more of a chance than I normally would, but I did so because I love all my other Clarks so much. Something about these particular shoes and my feet do not mesh well together.

These are incredibly comfortable shoes. I injured my ankle and was in a walking boot for nine weeks. These are the only shoes that did not cut around my ankle and feel like a dream as I continue to heal. I bought the black to wear to work thinking they would look enough like dress shoes and they are perfect!! Thank you so much for making these!! Please do not discontinue!!

I chose these Clark's because I have been wanting a lace-up shoe for winter that wasn't a sneaker. I wear an 8W and these fit fine. There are some who have complained that the shoes are "hard" inside, but while they aren't "marshmallow-y", they are supportive and comfortable. (I find the more marshmallow pillow-y a shoe is, the less likely it will be supportive in the long run.) Some have also said that they seem low on the ankle. It's more that the collar around the ankle is about 1/2" wide to the leather, not a pillow backing on leather around the ankle. At first it felt odd, but I quickly came to appreciate it.
I have worn these now for a couple of weeks and they've been my go-to shoes. If you're looking for cloudy pillows, don't get these. If you're looking for comfortable walking shoes that can handle winter (as long as it's not the storm of 2016-that needs snow shoes), give them a try. I didn't recommend them as a gift because I know that I need to try shoes on to know if they work.

I had foot surgery eight weeks ago so when it was time to come out of the surgical shoe and go into an "athletic shoe," I really struggled to find a work-appropriate shoe. I bought the black and they are so comfortable and pretty incognito, so I've been able to wear them with just about any outfit. Such a great shoe. Comfortable right out of the box, and doctor-approved!

These shoes were a purchase out of my comfort zone, but I am so glad I ordered them! The style is great but the comfort is even better. I am a RN in a busy practice and have even worn them to work.
