Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Design These boots are very uncomfortable around the ankle. Too stiff!! If you attempted to wear them you would have open wounds in an hour. I purchased a half size up to allow room for thicker socks. That was a good idea, as they were snug with slightly thick socks. But even the thicker sock was not enough to protect the ankle and lower shin. They are going back. 10-18-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Can't Even Get The Boots On My Feet! These boots need some serious reconstruction! I cannot even get them on my feet. The opening is too small and the boots are extremely stiff in the ankles. I really believe I'd be more comfortable wearing a pair of ski boots. Also, they look very old lady. I guess each of us needs to determine what old means to her. They are going back today and I just received them yesterday. 10-18-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by OUCH!!!!!! So disappointed!!! These just arrived! Yes good fit and roomy for warm socks and probably waterproof! HOWEVER, the ankles are not well rounded like a leg and the stiff tops hit all 4 ankle bones!!!!! I didn't even make it across 1 carpeted room and could tell the chafing and hit would never improve! Way too hard and painful "break" in!!!! Going straight back!! 10-17-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by I agree-What is happening to Clark's???? I could barely get my foot into these boots.....too solid, hard to more. tight around the ankle. I am unsure whether I will return...I can get my foot into them BUT only with the lightest pair of socks. So this winter, my feet won't get wet but my feet will freeze? Not sure I will ever buy Clarks again. AND I bought another pair of Clark's size 8; received size 7-1/2 and they are way big. Must wear heavy socks with these. 10-15-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Can't Get On -- Opening To Small These boots look nice but cannot get my foot in to try on if only they opened wide so I could try on. Will send back. Opening to small. If only zipper on side so foot could go in 10-15-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots I love these boots! Perfect for our WA. State wet/cold weather. I first bought them in brown, liked them so much that I bought them in black a year later. 10-12-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by What Has Happened to Clarks I was hoping these boots would be a good pair of winter boots that I could use for many years to come. I had a similar pair of these boots that I wore for many, many years but they were only ankle high and not waterproof. For many years I had nothing but Clarks in my closet. This summer I tried several pair of Clarks shoes and had to return every pair - sizing was inconsistent, cut into back of foot, slipped on back of heel, etc. Decided to try one more time but once again Clarks has disappointed. The boots look very nice but that's where it stops. I can't tell you how they fit, are they comfortable, do you need to size up, etc. because you can't even get the boots on. The opening for your foot is much, much smaller than a normal pair of boots and because of that the entry angle is such you can't even get your foot into them. I wear a size 7 so foot size isn't the issue. I will be returning and I won't be ordering Clarks any longer. I don't say that lightly because I always loved my Clarks but something has changed and I won't waste my time nor money any longer - there are too many other options available. 10-11-16
