These boots are comfortable. I can wear them all day and my feet and legs are pain free. The browns in this patchwork leather are gorgeous. I have received compliments every time I've worn them

I bought a pair of Nevella Nova boots on a different website, but the boots were not wide shaft although they did show up in the search for wide shaft due to the elastic at the top. I was so disappointed when they didn't fit because my legs are wide shaft and I need 16.5", and these boots are gorgeous. So I Googled and found wide shaft on QVC. I have NEVER bought on QVC or considered even visiting the website. But now I am a convert. I found these gorgeous boots here!! Both colors in my usual 8.5W. I ordered a 9W also just in case. I decided to keep 8.5W in black and 9W in tan. 9W just gives a bit more room for socks and expansion. The shaft for 9W is roomier. I like the shaft of 8.5W better because it is more fitted.
I LOVE LOVE the look of these boots - the leather mix looks gorgeous, shows even more in tan than black. I love the brushed black in the toe section. The boots could be more comfortable though. I could feel the back of the shoe slightly and the bottom crease hurts a tad in the ankle area because the leather is a bit more stiff. But I am keeping these boots and am hoping that with time they will be ok. It does crease a bit more in the ankle area because I went a 1/2 size up, the crease is less in 8.5W. I walked a lot today in NYC, and the boots fit well and looked so good. I love love them and highly recommend them. In 9W, my 16.5" calves fit with room for 2" more. Other reviewers complain about the boots being tight for 18", my guess is they maybe tighter at the bottom than the top because there is room at the top and some more stretch in the elastic. Most Clarks boots unfortunately have elastic more at the top not accounting for the fact that if you have wider calves you do need consistency throughout the height, it is not like suddenly the calves just expand at that top. I guess it is a fit element that Clarks needs to work on. Otherwise these boots look and fit perfectly. I have always had a hard time finding boots in tan to fit my calves, and after many years I have found one so gorgeous to fit!! Highly recommend.

I think this boot is absolutely gorgeous. It's a little dressier than a regular riding boot, and I love the heel height. I also think they are comfortable. But they are definitely not almost 19 inches in the calf. My calves are 18 inches, and I struggled to get them zipped. I think they will stretch a bit, so I'll keep them, but if your calf is over 18 inches, they might not work.

Beautiful boots but not as wide calf as in description
Like other reviews have said, having to pay such high shipping makes me rethink other purchases

I was thrilled at the thought of a pair of boots finally fitting my wide calves. I measured my calf at 17 inches, this boot is supposed to be 19 inches, silly me I thought I'd have some room to tuck jeans into them. Well I couldn't get them zippered past my ankle. They're going back, annoyed at having to pay shipping again and having nothing for my money...

Ordered the wide shaft boot. I have always had problems with boots do to my large calf so when manufacturers starting making them with wider shafts I was a happy camper! Quality of this boot is spot on and the heel height is great, very comfy. I look forward to getting some very good wear out of these. Well done Clarks!

The boot is beautiful and, of course, has Clark's comfort. However, I have a wide calf from the ankle up. The only part of this boot that is wide is the very top. The boot should be consistent and be wide from the ankle up. Isaac Mizrahi always does it right. Maybe Clarks could get some advice from him? Too bad. I would have loved them.
