Clarisonic Mia First Sonic Cleansing System

Clarisonic Mia First Sonic Cleansing System
product thumbnail

What is it: Unlike spinning devices, Clarisonic's patented sonic technology oscillates at a sonic frequency that produces over 300 movements per second. The resulting flexing action works to loosen dirt and oil, helping to remove impurities from pores and priming skin to better absorb topical treatments. The Mia features a universal speed that cleanses six times better than hands alone.

Who is it for: Suitable for most skin types.

Why is it different: Clarisonic's smallest one-speed wonder, the Mia is the perfect introduction to sonic cleansing.

How do I use it: First, remove eye makeup. Wet skin and brush head, and apply cleanser to the skin or directly to the brush head. Push the on/off button and move brush in small, circular motions: 20 seconds on forehead, 20 seconds on nose/chin, and 10 seconds on each cheek. Hold the brush head flush to your skin. Pressing too hard will impede the motion of the brush and reduce effectiveness. The Mia will automatically shut off after one minute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best thing ever I bought this used from another website to try before spending all this money. Let me tell you after washing my face just once with it and applying my moisturizer it is the best thing ever my face has never been this smooth and soft. It really feels clean I love it. Only downside is the charge doesn't last as long as i would like. Otherwise I would say go for it. 09-26-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by If no charge I have had my Mia now for over six years. About 2 years ago, my original one stop charging. Luckily, I have another one (Mia 2) that I just bought, so I used the charger from that the new one with the old Mia. The old one have being great since then. My advice is that, if your charger stop working, buy another charger from the Clarisonic website. It cost $25 the last time I checked. The charger is cheaper than buying a new one if you are not ready to spend money for a new Mia. Hope this help. 07-26-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glowing review! My Mia worked so well twice a day that, after 3 years, I purchased a second Mia just in case the first stopped working as other reviewers had warned. Now at 6 years and counting, the first continues to work well and the second is also going strong. I keep one in the shower and the other at a different bathroom sink. I use each one to begin or end my day. With the Clarisonic my skin is smooth, fine-textured, radiant, and soft. My dermatologist likes the "vibration" of Clarisonic rather than "spinning" brush heads of other brands that tug the skin. I have changed cleansers over the years but I would not want be without my Clarisonic. 04-09-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by Stopped Charging! Have used for a few years and now no longer charges. Very disappointing. Not sure I will get another. I did like using it however should have lasted longer! 03-25-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stopped Working Love my clarisonic I have owned my clarisonic mia for a while now , and then one morning it just stopped working, while I was charging it. Is there an address I can send it to so someone could check it out. 03-06-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by Won't hold charge I loved it while it worked. Of course it started to not hold a charge just as the warranty expired. I would buy another one just because it works so well...you never knew how dirty your skin was until you try it, but I am not happy having to spend so much money again. Am looking to see if there are similar devices like the Clinique one so I don't spend and have it happen again. 01-14-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great when it recharges My first purchase lasted about 8 months and quit working. I got a replacement for free. My second one lasted about 18 months. out of warranty and no longer charges. I guess I am purchasing my third one, when I save some money!! these are great when they work. If you consider a facial costs $65 on the low end of the scale, this is worth it. My skin has never looked better! Just don't expect it to last forever. Next I am trying the Mia 2 which has a longer warranty!! LOL 01-02-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good thought Bought mine couple years ago and fell in love. Shortly before warranty was out stopped charging. I thought I had done something wrong with cleaning. I called company, sent them my old one and they sent me a new one. I was in love again....... Short lived. It lasted two months and quit. I threw it away. I did buy a drugstore brand and nowhere near the cleaning, but the Clarisonic is just not worth the money, well it is while it works but that is a gamble 11-16-15
