A67442 - Citiknits(R) 4-piece Solid Petite Wardrober
Citiknits 5-PIECE Wardrober
Since I seldom wear long skirts, I have this suggestion for others of the same persuasion: Wear the long skirt as a strapless dress. I continue to wear my regular brassiere. The matching jacket can be worn to hide the bra straps. Or matching or contasting colored or printed shrugs. Or A63612 Animal Print in black/pewter (because I ordered this wardrober in pewter gray). Or the lettuce edge jacket of A12587. Or a blouse - which can be tied, belted or sashed. Or a bolero, blazer, swing jacket or cardigan. * This "dress" may be a bit long for those under 5'2"
P.S. Pewter gray goes ok with A08362 Zebra print tank. But the pewter is great with A77627 in the black combo.
Sizing not consistent
I have found the sizing with Citiknits to be a problem. Sometimes a large top fits fine and in the case of this item the large in the top and jacket to be much too big. I ordered this in Mauve in September, 2008 to wear for an occasion in January, 2009. I assumed that a petite large would fit me. To my dismay I looked frumpy in it because the sizing was so off. I also find that the fabric itself isn't always the the same. In the case of this Wardrober, very thin. I don't think this fabric works well with pastel shades. I would not order this again.
Who needs maternity clothes
I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and I hate maternity clothes. Before my pregnancy I wore the Chico's travelers outfits but felt they were pricey. Citiknits is thicker, more comfortable in my opinion and perfect for expectant moms. I can wear it now comfortably and I will continue to wear it after my pregnancy. I get many compliments on my Citiknits and spreading the word with my friends.
I do wish that more of the items came in petite sizes. I am only 4'11" and I need the petites. Please add more of this size to your available items. You are really limiting we safe efficient people. I would definitely buy much much more, if you offered more petite sizes.
PERFECT petite fit
I cannot say enough about the perfect fit in this petite wardrober. I have not been as lucky in the past with other designer lines on QVC, often the rise is not right for me. Every piece of this set fit perfectly!
High hopes, but disappointed
Initially the fit on this outfit was perfect. I am 5' about 100 lbs. The legs were barely ankle length, just right to wear with flats, and the sleeves on the jacket were fine. The neck of the t-top was a little wide but overall I was quite pleased. However, over time the material stretches. I bought this last year, and this summer I had to have the pants hemmed to be able to wear them with flats, even though when new they were ankle length. The t-top got so wide that it kept slipping off my shoulders so I had to wear a camisole underneath and pin the shoulder seams to the camisole straps, and now I can no longer wear it. The material is very comfortable and washes nicely and I still wear the pants often even though they continue to get longer. I haven't worn the jacket as much so the sleeves are still okay, but growing. I have another Citiknits outfit that did the same thing. Too bad these knits don't hold their size. I won't buy again.
gets lots of use
This was my first Citiknits purchase and I am hooked.I purchased it in petite steel gray which is very classic and goes a long way! the fit is perfect and i love the easy to care for fabric.I plan to purchase more Citiknits and have already recommended this line to my friends
im 5'2'' and ordered a petite i go a size bigger as well, for room, everything fit perfect but the pants, they were toooooooooo big, and the ankle pant hit the top of my foot, so even if i didnt hem them they would be to short, so im having them hemed, and taken in on the waist, all the tops are excellent ! and the skirt is fine to, its just the pants......... why are the bottoms always bigger ? not everyone has a bigger bottom ........... i would recommend this to a friend
I purchased this set almost a year ago in the light gray and all the pieces fit great. I am a petite at 5 ft. tall. At Xmas time I had a work function to attend and I didn't want to go the route of a cocktail dress. I wore this outfit using the skirt and I had a great time. I was comfortable (no bra straps falling down) and didn't have to worry about whether the party room (large) would be chilly. Wore lots of pearls and a silver fox jacket. Gotta say this set is versatile and I got a ton of compliments.
Glad I Tried It
I was somewhat hesitant about ordering due to some of the reviews but I'm glad I did. I am 5' and ordered the Med. Petite. Every piece fit perfectly. The pant length was great, even the sleeve length which is usually an issue. I like all of the pieces and I'm sure I will find lots of things to wear them with because everything is so versatile. Like one of the other reviewers, I wish the skirt had a slit due to the length but I may put one on each side, not difficult. You can't beat this wordrobe for the price.
Great Outfit for Work
I just love Citiknits. I have this 4 piece wardrober in steel gray and black. Steel gray does seem to change color in different lights, being more blue than grey. Still these outfits are wonderful and so comfortable for a long day at work.
Tooooo SHORT Pants
I am 5 foot tall and these pants are too short. This set would fit someone well under 5 feet.
easy and wearable
I like to wear this when I don't have the time or energy to iron. However, for the price of the set, it has flimsy construction. The elastic waistband hem as come out. I also think that it looks more put together when layered with a button-up shirt. It gives it a little more shape, too.
