Centigrade Packable Trench Jacket with Self Belt
Was looking forward to this coat and it would of been perfect for the spring and summer nights. Soooooo cute but I didn't know that the buttons were cheap plastic. Not a good look. Mabey they will bring this back with better looking buttons.
My first impression upon receiving this jacket is not much different than some of the other reviews. The jacket is light weight, but cute.
The large box is unnecessary; all the items I ordered could have fit in that one box, honestly. Additionally, I agree with what has been mentioned about the buttons, they look very inexpensive. I am contemplating changing out the buttons, if I keep the jacket. .
I bought this jacket in the Orange and the Tan color and it is so adorable ! I love how it fits and how cute it will be in the spring with jeans and heels or roll up jeans and flats ! I just love it !!
I love this coat so much I bought 4
this coat fits true to size, except the sleeve length, and I just turn the cuff under and it stays. I live in san francisco, and it is a perfect weight for 75 percent of the weather days here. It is so humid that a heavier jacket, or one that does not breathe, makes you miserable even if you are warm. The colors are really spot on. The orange is not too bright and I don.t feel like a clown in it. It flatters your figure, and is the perfect length for us more petite gals. I am five foot two and wear an xs. I have not found that this jacket is a problem for wrinkles. I just smooth them with water on my hands quickly, or use the spray wrinkle remover if it has been squished in the closet for a while. I have not laundered this yet, so cannot speak to that. I get so many compliments in this coat. It is a feminine trench, which I like. I would order more if it came in more colors. the only one I dont own is the black. I have too many black trenches.
Love this jacket! Got it to wear to my niece's outdoor wedding in April and got lots of compliments. My only suggestion would be to add a detachable hood to it.
great jacket for any kind of weather, depending on what you wear underneath.
I have had loads of compliments from this jacket.. It makes a great gift idea as well.
I plan to buy three people this coat. Love the style. Just plain easy. You'll love it.!
Love the jacket, hate the buttons
I am on my way to the fabric store to find buttons to replace the garish (and chipped!) shiny gold buttons. They MUST go! Other than that, I am really happy with this jacket. It's just right for our weather now in Oregon (end of March). I layer a sweater or a hoodie under now but later I'll be wearing it over a top on it's own. I has a wonderful shape, especially with the belt tied in back. Nice deep pockets and a flattering collar. Besides the garish buttons my only complaint is the lack of a hood...why didn't they put a roll-up hood in the collar? I subtracted two stars--one for the lack of hood, one for the buttons.
good jacket for the price
Got the navy as a OTO went down a size. It is just as nice as the DB TSV for alot less and it is packable. The wind does blow the collar flaps into your lipstick :)
Packable Jacket - pros and cons
PROS - The khaki color is really current and flatters my skin.
The collar, when appropriately "Elvis-ed" looks nice even though it's rather oversized for the jacket. (I have a lot of hair, so it hides it a bit.)
The weight is perfect - not too light, not too heavy - absolutely right for Spring in the Northeast.
CONS - Why was this shipped in a box that would hold a child sized mattress!!?
Packable? Sure, but only if you want to iron it for an hour after you remove it from the pouch (it arrived ridiculously wrinkled and I cannot imagine what it would look like after being balled up for a day or two).
The buttons are garish. I recall Lisa saying how 'cute' they are but there is no way she really believed these are cute. They are cheap plastic, with the kind of mirrored shine we were wearing in 1985.
and last, Holy badonkadonk. Need I say more?
Overall, I am about 50% pleased and will keep it because I really need a stylish Spring jacket but honestly, if I had tried this on in the store, I probably would have put it back on the rack.
Could not believe the quality of this jacket for the price! All the details and fully lined. Sleeve length was perfect for me (I do have long arms). The medium gave me room for whatever I am wearing underneath. Light weight, great for travel. A hood would have been nice and put it over the top.
I think this jacket is a good idea. Can fold it up and put it in your purse that way you don't have to carry it around or worry about keeping up with it. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I think it's a very functional item to have. It's a "put-on-and go" type jacket that is light in weight. It does not have a hood. I agree, the sleeves are too long. I usually wear XL but Large would've worked also.
not for me!
does this make my butt look big?...yes it does!...this is full in the back not flattering..not for me...looked very good on Lisa R. but what dosen't? sorry to say it's going back...wanted to love :(
