E167364 - Casio Exilim Digital Camera with 14.1MP & Built-in GPS
Good quality camera under $200
This is a good quality camera under $200.The long life battery is a plus. I love the size of this camera. It can fit anywhere from my tidy handbag to pockets. A large selection of preset mode, very useful for any occasions.
I am still working on the Gps function.
Love this camera. I read a lot of reviews before deciding, which was largely based on the GPS tagging capability, especially the inclusion of accelerometer enhancement to the GPS which allows the camera to keep track of its location even without satellite reception. It also has a surprisingly long battery life considering the GPS power requirements. Menus are easy to use. The internal maps are limited, but that they are there at all is remarkable.
I did not have any problem downloading and updating the firmware that other reviewers experienced, though I don't think I would have known it was available without having read the comments.
Finally, the QVC price at $180 was far and away the better than any I could find elsewhere from a legitimate retailer.
I’m still playing with my Casio EX-H20G but it seems like a good value. I received the camera with old 1.0 software and had to call Casio support. On the day I called, supposedly their phones weren’t working so I had to call many times (at least 15) to get help updating to 1.04 software. This is not a simple process and requires a Casio support expert. The pictures look good and the GPS now works properly, all in all I’m pleased with this high quality low end camera.
Great Camera at a Great Price!
I've been looking at this camera for awhile and QVC had the best price by far! I saved more than $100 buying it here than at my local big box store. Camera quality is fantastic, love the GPS and panorama functions, and I was able to update the firmware on the camera with ease. Can't wait to get more use out of this camera over time.
Was looking forward to it...
Overall the camera is well built and takes good photos.
Don't get too carried away when trying to contact Casio support... virtually non-existant .
The camera requires an important firmware update. To get the update requires the serial number on the camera. So far have tried about 20 times and each time says the s/n is Quote :Product No. is Empty, or Malformed"
