I really like the design of the links on this necklace and the texture. The length is good (though I would like to see more 42 inch necklaces). I also quite like the combination of the textured silver and the brass. I do leave my necklaces out (on a hook) and this one tarnishes with time (the silver part). To save my aching fingers I DID do a silver dip which I must warn everyone else NOT to do as it completely changed the appearance of the brass, which became dull and brown. I have since used a general metal polishing cloth (NOT a silver cloth) on every link since and rescued it.
Bottom line - nice necklace if you don't mind the work of keeping it polished.

I own these chains in both brass and copper/silver versions. They are solid, sturdy chains that will take years of wear. Brass, sterling silver and copper tarnish as will some gold (especially 10k) because of alloys. That is the nature of the metals. Hosts rarely explain this. QVC often coats silver jewelry in rhodium to avoid that, but this changes the color. It also can chip and wear off in time and look tacky. Jewelers don't like working on coated items either so repairs are difficult. Wipe your chains with a jewelry cloth that has a polishing side of jeweler's rouge. Ask a silver Jeweler to tumble them if the don't have stones ( like these chains). They will clean up. I like the softer patina so I don't tumble mine; I wipe them with the polishing cloth. There is so much light weight jewelry on QVC. For me these are a good value.

I looked forward to receiving this necklace since I have several of Carolyn's pieces that I love. I wanted to wear this with two different silver and brass enhancers that I have, but it was much too dark with no shine at all. I guess patina is a good thing, but not when the necklace looks old and tarnished and does not go with the enhancers. The length was great.
Rated 1 out of 5 by scivvy Ugh! So disappointed!
In the plastic baggie, the chain looked like a pile of tarnished silver and brass. Looked even worse out of the bag. So disappointing, especially after Carolyn went on and on about how it looked like gold. It does not resemble gold in any way and it doesn't match any of my silver/brass pieces. It looks cheap and I'm so angry that I spent $10 to find out that what was said on air was not true at all!

I was looking so forward to this bi-metal necklace. Not sure if I want to keep it ? I will try to clean it no matter what CP says, because "I will determine if its worth $155.89 or not." Yes it's pricey but we will see if it's worth it. So far, NO. I do have to agree with the other reviewer that commented, "the brass is not yellow it does look like copper". It sort of does without cleaning it.

AT FIRST GLANCE, WHILE IT WAS STILL IN THE PLASTIC BAG, I THOUGHT THAT IS THE WORST LOOKING PILE OF CHAIN I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! IT LOOKS DEAD. NO LIFE...THE BRASS HAS A COPPER COLOR THAT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING FOR THE SILVER.. I AM RETURNING...SOOOO DISAPPOINTED.....
