I did reviews before making this purchase. I have had this model for 18 months. I do like the coffee and the design but there is an issue with the grinder or at least the button of the grinder switch. 3 months after purchase, the grinder button stopped working. It was like there was a short in the button. After several calls to Capresso, they asked to swap out. Now the swap process requires them to ship, not email, physically ship a return label. Then ship the coffee maker. Then 2 weeks later the replacement arrives. Sort of archaic in todays time but okay.
Then after 9 months, intermittent issues again with the grinder button. I have given up on this model and they no longer stand behind the issue. Buying another brand now.

Just received this and absolutely wowed. I used the default settings, set clock, soaked and loaded the water filter, loaded the hopper with highly recommended 8 o'clock columbian beans, filled the water reservoir and hit start button . The whole house was filled with the wonderful aroma and the coffee itself was outstanding. It was still hot 3 hours later although there's no warming plate to further cook the coffee. No bitter taste. I did swish hot water in the carafe before use as recommended. In studying this purchase beforehand, using flavored beans is not recommended as they can eventually jam the burr grinder with the coatings. Using pre-ground flavored coffee is the simple solution as there's a grind button and regular brew button. Experts claim this is the best grind and brew available. It's reliable and repaired/replaced for around $30 dollars by the company. Some customers have owned Capresso machines for 20 years and replaced them simply for updated features. This replaces our single serve machine which works fine but has mediocre coffee which ever increases in price. Basically, the single serve no longer is worth the money. I forgot how good brewed coffee can be and this machine beats them all. Very attractive, incredibly easy to use and clean, and coffee as good or better than anything else out there. Thanks QVC for making it affordable plus quick delivery. Very happy and highly recommend. Some experts recommend buying a coffee machine and grinder separately but this does it all with a flick of the switch. No extra steps which I deeply appreciate.

I bought this model to replace a prior Capresso Grind and Brew of 5 years. This one works great and I have been very happy with the purchase. There are no real cons that I can think of, but I suggest you put the hottest Tap Water in the pot prior to brewing just to elongate the hold time. Typically a pot is gone in our house within 2 hours and the coffee if fine for us for that period of time. It has a grind selector, and strength selectors as well. I have had this unit over 6 months and no problems at all.
If you use it on Auto, the Grinder is a little loud, but I have never heard a "quiet" grinder on the grind and brew models of any manufacturer. :)
Would highly recommend if your a coffee lover and love the fresh taste of fresh ground beans and ability to brew right after grinding. What a taste difference!

I bought this coffee maker for my son over a year ago and he loves it. This is one of the few pots with a bean grinder that does not sit right above the water reservoir. The problem with those is that as the water gets hot the steam rises up to the grinder and turns all the leftover grinder residue into a soggy mess and it clogs it all up so every time you grind coffee you need to clean the grinder first.
This pot is attractive, well made and has given my son much pleasure. I had to special order his and now I'm pleased to see it on QVC so when I am ready to replace my own pot I know where to buy .
I like the thermal pot but if you offer the glass carafe, that is nice too. I prefer to see how much coffee is left in the pot so I would probably get the glass pot.
People, don't hesitate to buy this. The price is a little more but you get what you pay for and if you like to grind your own beans this is the pot for you.
