Canon SX40 HS Camera This is a really good camera with great zooming features, options to add additional lens (via adapter rings) filters (UV, Polarized, and Flourescent), and special lens fisheye. It's a great starter camera for a beginner to mildly advanced. You will need a good camera bag (large). I really enjoy this camera, it's my second Canon. 09-09-12
Best Camera , Worst Case Ever The case that came with the camera is not the case that is pictured on qvc for this camera . There are numbers on the case , that are for the size camera that it fits. This camera is not listed. The camera barely fits. There's is no handle and no strap. It is useless. Qvc will not correct this. The case is made for a tiny shoot and point camera. I would have rated the camera 5, if it was not for this problem. 08-28-12
Fantastic Camera - Great IQ & IS This is my first digital Canon camera and I absolutely love it. (It's not my first Canon since I still have two film Canons that work great even though they are over 30 years old. I just can't get into dealing with film anymore now so they just sit on a shelf.) The image quality (IQ) and image stabilization (IS) is fantastic for a bridge camera. Leagues above any of the bridge cameras I've previously owned. I'm still learning how to navigate my way through the various settings and menus but staying in AUTO works great in most situations. BTW - I also reacted negatively to the camera case (PSC-4100) that came with it as many here have. I did check out the Canon website and found that the case included in the TSV is the case listed for this camera and they list it for $29.99. I simply decided to retire one of my older bridge cameras and use that case instead. 08-26-12
Quality Pictures Decided I wanted a camera where I didnt have to monkey with changing lenses. Am so impressed by the built in 35x zoom lens! Pictures have been coming out better than I expected. Still have some things to learn but so far easy to use and am taking great close up photos. Love it! 08-20-12
Now I'm a Photo Artist Got the camera a few weeks ago. The photos I have taken are clear, crisp with perfect exposure! I love the auto features, including the flash. The camera is light and easy to tote around if you are hiking and looking for photo ops. I would have given it a 5-star rating, but I am finding some stability issues when I am working with the extreme zoom. 08-15-12
Great camera! Love the pictures I have taken with this camera. The zoom is crisp and clear.I have taken photos of the Ocean and farmlands.Oh and photos of the most beautiful sunsets. Five stars for the camera and 0 stars for the cheap bag.My husband bought me a nice bag on Amazon that fits everything. 08-13-12
Love this camera I have been taking some wonderful shots wtih this camera. The zoom is amazing. I am no camera buff but, this camera makes some of my shots look like a pro took them. easy to use. I am still playing around with the buttons on it to see what all it can do. I did order a different card for it though as from what I have read on other websites about this camera. The price is fantastic... Love Love Love IT !!! 08-08-12
Love it! I really enjoy the fact that this camera is light, and has so many features. I took it outta the box and used it! I had downloaded the manual to my iPad prior after reading others reviews on other sites. This is a great camera for point n shoot shots. The bag could have been bigger, the camera and supplies do not fit in it. I have already taken several wonderful pictures. 06-15-12
Camera Good; Bag Bad Just got the camera and appears exactly what I was looking for. Given Canon's reputation, I am looking for great pictures and an easy to use camera. The bag and card are not worth the extra $20. Mainly because the camera will not fit in the bag!! The card can be purchased for less. So based on that, I gave it 3 stars. You folks at QVC should really have checked that out ahead of broadcast. Hint: Buy the camera separately. 06-08-12
