Rated 2 out of 5 by Out of Focuse I bought this camera because it was the best of both worlds. I could capture a great photograph as well as great video footage. 2 years ago I was a little bit green when it came to photography. After an internship at a studio and a few classes I definitely know how to take a photograph. Unfortunately this camera has given me several issues with the focus when I am photographing. When I am shooting live view videos it seems to be fine... This is not a user error. I have had every camera guru take a look at this for me and after extreme doubt have read all over the internet about this problem. Unfortunately I will need a new camera body and am working with the camera shop to exchange. 10-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely Incredible Camera. I have been a Canon user for quite some time and I recently made this purchase to upgrade my previous camera and I must say that the 70D is incredible. For the amount of money, build quality and image quality. This camera is extremely good value! 09-22-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by My first DSLR Great camera for the price. Full of features. I use a 50mm f/1.4 USM lens and the pics come out fairly well but sometimes fuzzy. Not sure I like the cropped sensor experience though, especially when using EF lenses. 08-04-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by 70d is a great camera for the Average / Pro This is a quality camera for the advanced user. While it has many automatic modes to choose from, that work under a variety of lighting conditions, I prefer to use one of the manual modes for the ultimate photo. With lighting not always ideal I prefer setting a fixed Shutter, Aperture, with auto to manual ISO. I have two lenses which take care of every situation for me. Canon 24x70mm 2.8 & 70x200mm 2.8 lenses. My 70d simply takes amazing professional quality photos but if I wanted better I would try the 80d, 7d Mk II, or wait for the next 5d Mark IV. NOTE: when they come out with a model like the 7d Mark II features with a 28 or higher Megapixel, then you will see higher quality photos. I have been shooting with the 7d for 2 years now and it has been a great camera. I mainly shoot family, action, safari park in escondido, ca, and sports. Also enjoy night shots on the tripod. Yes... a great choice 03-15-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy this unless you just want a video camera I purchased this as an upgrade for my t4i after i started taking photos I noticed that the pictures are not quite in focus. You can't tell on the small screen on the camera that you missed the shot.Apparently these are good for video but NOT stills I had it checked out and all they could say was there is nothing wrong. 03-11-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE This camera has performed exceptionally in all aspects of my needs for quickness and versatility in remote areas. 03-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Performer! I've been an avid videographer for a few years and I've been shooting cam. My nephew suggested I get into DSLR. So I figured why not?! I used the 70D primarily for shooting film. And I am in love with this gear. My main glass is the Sigma 18-35mm and this is truly a match made in heaven! I've done some stills and have been equally impressed. There really is no need to get another piece of gear unless it has 4K capability! 02-29-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by It is a great camera, great features and fast. I bought it a year ago and I am very happy with the results of this camera. 02-18-16
