Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by VERY NICE LENS THAT SOMETIMES HUNTS FOR FOCUS I currently have this lens on the easy pay option with two more payments to go. I am glad I got it when I did because I can see QVC raised the price $200.00 + dollars since I ordered it. I have also noticed the price of all the canon products have went up. The image quality this lens produces is extremely nice. Not quite L quality but real close. Lens is lightweight but feels to be a sturdy build quality .The only nick on quality is I bought the lens hood (separately from another company) and it rattles when attached to lens. Maybe I got a bad lens hood. This lens sometimes hunts for focus in AF mode. In manual mode the focus is spot on. The focus issue is why I gave 4 stars out of 5 03-27-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Im very new to photography. I got my first dslr 10 months ago... a rebel t3. Just upgraded to the 70d. I treated myself also to this lens and Im totally amazed by it! After using nothing but kit lenses for almost a year now this little thing has shown me what a good photo really looks like! Crisp pictures and so easy! Very happy with this lens! 10-22-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by satisfied with purchase I am very satisfied with this lens, It is everything I read about and more. The only drawback is it does not have the image stabilization feature. other than that it is a great Macro lens, and I would recommend purchasing it if you are looking for a good Macro lens. 05-21-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent lens This is a great macro and walk around lens. Very crisp and clear pictures. It has very quick auto focus and is extremely easy to handle. I bought this lens to go with my T3i. 08-22-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Photos I bought this in May and it's my first macro lens. I use it almost all the time and it has given me some great photos. 07-29-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great lens for DSLR cameras. Bought this lens even though saving up for another one and I'm glad I did. Took a macro class to try the lens out and have some great photos. If your on the fence about this lens, get it, you won't be sorry, worth every penny! 05-10-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply Amazing Thought I'd test this as a walk around lens for a car event I had to shoot. My main camera was set up with a tripod so I had this on my 2nd camera which is a 30D. I am completely surprised at the images I was able to capture with only using available light in the showroom. Sharp, fast, great bokeh when I wanted it and light weight. I've never used this lens before other than shooting macro shots so this was a great opportunity to try it in a walk around shooting fashion. I will definitely be using this more, just wish it was compatible with my 5D Mark II. 01-09-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality, cheaper price I bought this lens yesterday for my t5i and I was skeptical at first. I have never bought a macro lens before and I wasn't really sure what to expect. After playing around with it for a while and taking multiple test shots, I started to get a hang of it. The 1:1 shots are incredibly crisp and sharp and I was genuinely surprised at how detailed they were. Normally to get a shot like that I would have had to do some cropping in post, but now I don't have to. The lens also functions well as a regular prime lens too. The autofocus is exceptionally fast, probably the fastest that I own. My only complaint is that sometimes the AF is a little slow if you are up close. What I mean by that, is that the lens zooms in then out, and then steps into focus. 07-11-13
