Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse now than when I first bought it October 3, 2017 - Canary downgraded or removed features that were provided as part of the features offered and the reason I bought mine. Right after I got mine, they took away the option for a 7-day video storage plan. As if that wasn’t bad enough now, if you don’t pay their monthly fee, you can’t even download a video recorded under the free 24 hour plan. What good is that if there is an incident you need to document for authorities to see? It isn’t clear whether I will get notifications if I’m away. In addition, you can no longer set up night time recording when you are home unless you pay for the monthly storage, which by the way, is too high at $9.99 per month. Who knows what features you’ll have to pay for next – maybe only live viewing and no motion recording will be available, or the auto-away mode will be taken away (which by the way doesn’t work really well for me.) Another beef I have with them is that there is no phone support, only chat or email. On one situation, we started with chat, but had to switch to email. Often times, in the email support mode, there were long delays in responses to emails, even hours. Anybody want a Canary real cheap?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It Is Alright I bought this camera over a year ago. Since then Canary has added a feature that was missing initially. Which is an audible notification when there is motion. Before that most times I had no idea I had received a notification that there was motion. Now I do. Other than that it is alright. I also have another security camera that actually calls me when it detects motion and I like that feature. Canary should add it. I don't want to sign up for a subscription to get the most out of this camera. So I guess I will never get the full functionality it offers for that reason. Too bad Canary.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There are better security cameras out there. I would give this product a one star but it does work pretty good. The reason why I give it two stars and returning the product is because you spend almost $200 on a security camera. Only to find out that the only way you can use it to its full potential is pay almost $10 a month to be able to use all of the features that it is capable of doing. I don't know about other people but for me if I spent almost $200 on something I expect to be able to use the product to its full potential.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product I got a total of FOUR and none of them work. They worked at first but one by one they failed. I called Canary's Customer Service and it's basicly nonexistent. If you want a security system this system is not what you want. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The WORST Customer Service Ever! The device is ok. There are many out there equally good if not better. There is NO phone number where you can speak with a live person if every other troubleshooting attempt fails. They want you to do online chat. The person is also chatting with multiple other people at the same time so I hope you have a few hours to resolve the problem. Buyer BEWARE. By the way, the chat person was in IRELAND and needed to go home.
