Calista Tools Ion Hot Hair Rollers - Medium Refill
WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
Rollers work well, but with shipping costs included, these additional are about $7 each! Am I crazy or is this ridiculous????? I really need all of the smaller ones. If I would buy the extras I need it would be nearly the cost of the whole set of rollers again! COME ON, QVC, how about some appreciation for us buying these in the first place?!?!?!
UNIT DOESN'T GET HOT ENOUGH JUST WARM
THEY REALLY NEED TO WORK ON THE HEATING OF THE UNIT FOR IT DOESN'T GET THAT HOT AND THE ROLLERS WERE JUST WARM MY HAIR SHOULDER LENGHT AND NO CURL OR BODY TO MY HAIR. WILL RETURN SORRY.
GOOD PRODUCT - HIGH PRICE FOR QUALITY
I bought these rollers as a TS at the bragging of LR, Host, on how good they were. Well, they are fair but way to pricey as you have to order more if you want to roll your hair in a hurry, etc.
I also agree with other reviews these rollers are too pricey for the quality. I, too, have the same problem as others with not being able to get the clamps to stay in place when you move your head. I ordered 8 extra medium rollers and am contemplating ordering more but I hate to pay the price of $25.00 for 4 rollers plus SH&T.
IMHO, Calista needs to reinvent the wheel and add a new base, more rollers and come down on their price to be competitive with other contenders. WAKE UP CALISTA..
Not Happy with Purchase
Besides being expensive, I wasn't happy with the rollers I received. When I ordered the medium refill rollers I also ordered the short refill rollers. The short rollers came in a box with the rollers in a plastic box inside. They were just like the original rollers with my Calista Roller Set. The medium rollers came in an envelope with each roller wrapped in a plastic sleeve. At the time I ordered, the graphics showed the dark purple rollers with the grey clips that are like those in the roller set. The graphics have since been changed to what you see above, the lighter purple rollers with white clips. These roller when hot don't turn to a white dot on top. Instead they turn to a clear center that almost looks like there is a hole in the center. Because of the packaging and not matching my current roller set, I felt like these rollers were from a discontinued curler set. That might not be true, but it was the impression I got. I wish I would have returned after talking to Customer Service since they said this item is shipped directly from the manufacturer. Now it is too late to return, but I'm not happy receiving a different item than was advertised when I ordered.
Extra Rollers are a Necessity
I ordered the set of 12 rollers knowing that 12 probably wouldn't be enough for my just below the shoulder, mega-layered hair, so I was thrilled when these refills became available. Now I have 16 rollers, which is exactly the number I need for perfect curls! I like the medium sized rollers and may order another set of refills, as I prefer the medium sized over the smaller pink rollers. It would be nice to have one size larger for bigger curls. The ONLY reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the cost. I try not to remind myself just how much I've spent on these curlers and instead focus on the great curls I get.
Thank you for offering these again!
I was sooo glad to see these refill rollers come back to QVC...I could not find them anywhere. The only negative thing I have is - they are just too expensive!
Calista works but is expensive
Right now hot rollers work for my lifestyle. I purchased Calista about a month ago. I use them everyday. They heat up very quickly--I like that. They come in a nylon zippered case which I also like. If your hair is clean it will not hold the curl well (as with all hot rollers). You should be using a heat protectant anyway. Also, going a couple of days without shampooing really helps with the curl and body for my hair. I would recommend Calista but warn of the high price. I give 4 stars just because of the price. The end result of using these rollers would actually be a 5
Please, please restock the Calista medium hair roller refill. I ordered the Calista set for long hair and also ordered a medium roller refill. I find I like the medium rollers the best. I have looked everywhere for the medium roller refill kit, but to no avail. I would rate this product a five star if the refills were readily available.
I think these rollers are to expensive. I have to order more, because 12 is not enough for my hair. It would be nice to have bigger rollers. These work good, but not any better than other brands I have used.I have to roll half of my hair and then take out processed ones and reheat rollers. Not real convenient. So you have to go to more expense to get enough rollers. The long ones are would make to tight of a curl. I am giving a 3 star for the inconvenience and expense of these rollers. If you ;have short hair these would be perfect. I would not recommend these because of the expense involved.
Love this rollers but please please make a larger diameter size. I'm not talking soup can size but two inch wide would be fabulous for those of us who don't want such a tight curl with the purple ones. Thanks Maria!!
I love these rollers. Now I have the long ones and the medium for the top of my head. Calista tools should definitely make a mixed set with a larger base. Its not that big of a deal to switch the rollers because they heat up fast but it would still be more convenient. They are by far the best rollers on the market.
Best Hot Roller Set
I have been using Calista Hot Rollars for 18 months now and they work for me so much better that other hot rollers in maintaining the curl in my hair for 2 days. I had the long blue ones and now that my hair is getting longer - (about 3in below my shoulders) - I need to switch up to the larger diameter size. It might have been cheaper to buy a whole new set because - I like the amount of curl with the purple ones so will probably order another 4 rollers. I also like the fact that this is much smaller and packs well when traveling as opposed to other sets which are big and cumbersome to pack. Can you make the purple diameter in the long roller length?
