Calista Tools 2-in-1 Home Salon Hair Dryer w/ Fusion Heat
The hair dryers to end all hair dryers
….Let me just say, I own three other high end hair dryers, two of which are other brands also offered on the Q. This own has moved those off of my beauty counter. On two days, I dried half of my hair with this Fusion Heat dryer and half with the others. A step above!!! Just saying!
It doesn't have the glamour of the other two dryers with their bright colors (yellow) (pink and chrome), nor are it's controls the easiest to adjust mid-style. But SPEED and VOLUME are where this dryer excels. Not to mention the handy stand to achieve an assisted blowout. This blow dryer offers so much more Volume, I feel like I could single-handedly bring back the eighties hair styles by using it all the time. It also gives an amazing shine, but probably only about 5 percent more than those other three that I own.
I did buy this just to help me with achieving a better blowout, but I use it now all the time because of how amazing it is. I also don't hesitate anymore to blow dry my hair on consecutive days because for some amazing science that Calista has given us, it doesn't make my hair look Heat-Worn. I have thin and over-processed mid-back length hair and I can't believe how this makes me look like I have two to three times more hair depending upon how I style it. I have a feeling that if I ever flipped my head over and blow dried it upside down, I'd have HUGE eighties rock band hair.
I also waited a year to buy this, because the reviews weren't that convincing. I'm super glad I finally bought it and did those two side by side comparisons -- that frees up my counter. What convinced me is when she said that they did a clinical about volume and an increase in size that was a very large number. I don't get helmet head after exercising, yes the volume goes down some with the sweat and oils and wind, but I don't look like a rag doll.
I bleach my hair and use lots of products to maintain my ends and this has not been detrimental. I also use her Perfector, which gives incredible shine, but now prefer just using this hair dryer. It saves me about six minutes compared to my other super fast drying hair dryers.
I almost want to buy a second one, because I'd want to have another in a few years to replace this one, it's that good.
One final thing:
I have the confidence that no matter how I use this dryer, it gives me great hair. The other high end hair dryers, because they didn't impart that much volume, gave me results based on MY EFFORT.
Salon Hair Dryer
This blow dryer is nice. I think I need to get a comb attachment in order to get the full benefit for my thick hair.
not for professionals
Sorry. ~ cord would tangle when switching hands, Should be at the bottom of handle. Very heavy. Difficult to change setting, needed both hands. Waited to long to open product to return or would have. Will be donating to a beauty school.
purchased T3 on qvc ~ awesome ~ that's a blow dryer.
I wish I could send it back
Unfortunately, I ordered and received this dryer just before an extended vacation trip, so I put the unopened box in my bathroom and ran out the door. I just opened the box and tried the dryer, and I'll be donating it to the VietNam Veterans.
The cool shot button, which I need, does not lock. It also doesn't change the temperature of the air coming out of the dryer. The dryer blows cool air most of the time no matter what you have the dryer set to, but it is possible, if you fiddle with the settings long enough, to get hot air. Unfortunately, the way the attachments are made the concentrator only points straight up - nice if you have long hair, I guess, but since mine is quite short it means I have to hold it like a regular dryer to use the concentrator. For me, this was a very expensive mistake.
I'm lousy at blow drying my hair, so I tried this. No problem with the temperature but I can do a better job with my T3 and Chaz Dean's brushes. At this point I sometimes let my hair dry naturally with mousse, it's curly. And I set my hair on rollers and sit under a hair dryer for an hour. I am a Wen girl and I love the seasonals and the lavender cleansing conditioners
Not that convenient
I've had rotator cuff surgery on both my shoulders over the past 3 yrs. and was excited to get the "hands free" dryer. (It's been 6 mos. since the last surgery.) It just didn't get my hair dry very quickly on the "hands free" set up. Holding it and drying the hair, it worked fine; but I found it much heavier than the dryer I currently own. So back it goes. :( Disappointed.
This gives my hair much more volume and bounce. This is the best hair dryer ever! Thanks QVC!!!
Was really looking forward to using this dryer. It had only one temp setting: cold. All three temperature settings were exactly the same as the cold shot button. Clearly defective but a consistent pattern with this 'state of the art' dryer.
heater stopped working
I have have this blow dryer less then 4 months and the heater stopped working. Now it only will blow cold air. I am not happy with this at all. I could of bought a much cheaper blow dryer and had it last longer then is.
Gives Me More Volume
Didn't know if I'd like this but I love it. Wasn't going to use the hands free stand, but it works pretty cool if you're sitting down. What I love best is that it gives my thin, fine hair more volume! It also takes less time. Great product.
Not so great
I ordered this a few weeks ago and returned it . I thought this would be awesome..finally would have my hands free to blow out my hair ..NOT the hands free part is horrible barely any air pressure and it's more of a pain then the hand held dryer ..maybe if the nose moved or was adjustable or maybe if you have curlers in and drying hair to set but still it's just not what I thought ..needs more air pressure for hand free model BUT with that said the hands held part is awesome blow dryer .. And before I returned it I went and bought a $35 hair dryer Infiniti Pro conair and honestly this $30 dryer was just as good I got great shine fast fast dry time and the $30 dryer came with diffuser and a concentrator .but that is just my opinion I hope it helps . I would recommend this to maybe a older woman with short hair who might have arthritis or something this might be good then but it would take an hour to dry your medium / long hair
Converted Doubter - this thing is GREAT!
Dries your hair fast without making it feel dry.
Cold shot button - you don't have to hold it down, just click it on and off! Genius
Removable handle (although I keep my handle on it all the time)
THE STAND AND DIFFUSER - FIVE STARS
Easy to clean the "lint" from the screens
Switching heads during your styling - they are hot! But that is the only bad thing.
So, I have been air-drying my long hair for the last 15 years because dryers and curling irons had fried it. My son is a hair stylist, so I asked him, why would anyone pay this much money for a blow dryer? You can go to the drug store and get one for $20. And he explained the difference - this dryer gets hotter, but because it pushes so much air through, it doesn't get your hair hot enough to damage it. So it is enough heat to get your hair really dry, with enough air to do it properly. Then he explained why drying your hair is actually better for your hair - it closes the cuticle, locking in the WEN goodness.
So, I got this. And have been blow away, pun intended. I can even get my dog (who has a LOT of hair) dry in about 30 minutes. I love the stand, with my long hair I can sit backwards and brush it without doing any weird gymnastics. And my hair looks great! I get comments even after I have slept on it!
Bottom line - it is worth the money.
