A222878 - CE by Cristina Ehrlich Knit V-Neck Colorblock Dress
Strings for belt loops?
I purchased this dress in the grey/cream and it is not a bad dress. Comfortable but does show off some unwanted bumpiness in places. The real disappointment is the belt loops. Silly? Since when are strings considered a designer touch? Cheap, cheap, cheap. Anytime I see see strings for belt loops, I can't get it out the door fast enough. Dennis Basso did this same cheesey thing on one of his trench coats and back it went! That is not a designer quality feature at all.
Such a stylish and beautiful dress but not meant for shorter women. I would suggest for 5'6" or taller. Not just a length issue, it's the proportions. Also purchased her blazer which has to go back. The small ( I wear a small or medium) chest buttons start by the waist. Love all her designs but need petites in this line.
Everyone should have a dress like this in their wardrobe: understated, classic, effortless. I was worried when I ordered it because of some of the reviews, but I kept returning to view it and finally decided I had to give it a try. I was captivated. The dress is fully lined, and so I found it not to be clingy at all. I don't usually like self belts, but in this case I tried several different belts and decided I liked the self belt best. This dress doesn't scream for lots of accessories. Its beauty is in that clean, simple line and elegant drape. I wouldn't detract from that by adding anything. I chose the grey. I found the fit to be good in my usual size.
Designed to make you look long and lean.
I had purchased the CE by Cristina Ehrlich knit V-neck colorblock dress to wear to a wedding this spring in the grey color choice. I liked the color blocking around the sleeve area I feel it added definition to the arms. The fabric was nice and I also liked the built in liner as another reviewer had mentioned.
After much consideration, I ended up and returned the dress solely due to the cost of having the length altered. I am 5”4” and it was just too long.
I would recommend this dress overall based on quality and design.
I would love to see the CE by Cristina Ehrlich line offer petite dresses.
Gotta get this dress
Love, Love this dress. Very slimming. I am 5'5" with a 34C bust and I ordered a Small and it fits like a dream. Could have went with the X-Small but it would have been very form fitting. I love the drapy look. The length is just below the knee which gives it a modern sophisated look.
Quality is excellent and you can't beat the price for a dress. It has a built in lining that doubles as a slip which was not mentioned in the presantion. This was a pleasant surprise.
I ordered the Grey but it is a taupy grey which I love.
The video presentation was great. Unfortunately, when the dress arrived, quality was not there. Dress is made for a woman at least 5' 7" .. much too long for the average person.
I purchased this Cristina Ehrlich dress in grey and size small, fit was perfect! I am a 36B and I am sure a 37' chest would work as well. I sometimes have difficulty with QVC sizing but this one worked. I loved the weight of the fabric, not flimsy at all, quality is there and the modern style is a terrific look. Recommend this one very flattering dress!
Designer style at a great price
This dress is so unusual and fits beautifully. It is simple, elegant and yet has a casual feel to it that makes it easy to wear a feminine dress without looking too "done" in today's business casual environment. The belt actually looks good with it so don't have to find another - but would look great with a wider, obi style belt as well. Am really impressed with Cristina's sense of style and the quality of the dress. Looking forward to more from her.
Long and Clingy
I loved this dress on air because of the color combination and the v-neck but was concerned if it would be too clingy. I decided to give it a try and ordered a medium. Unfortunately, it is clingy. You need a flat stomach (Spanks won't help) to wear this dress. Aside from the clinginess, the material is heavy and pulls the dress down. The weight of the material added to the clinginess and discomfort of the dress. The length is better suited to a taller woman (over 5' 5") unless you intend to hang it in your closet (although the weight and material will probably stretch on a hanger) and wear it for an occasion with extremely high heels in cooler weather. Back it goes.
Jury's still out
Nice dress, love the detail but I'm not sure. . .I'm 5'1". It seems too big when I belt it & too long witthout a belt. It will most likely go back. I would definitely recommend it to a tall friend!
Fit Isn't Right
Nice dress, but doesn't fit properly. The white trim droops in the front. Hard to describe, but it doesn't lay flat like it does on the models in the video. The armhole is cut larger, and the excess fabric droops in the front. Looks very funny. I pinned the armhole to make it smaller, and it helped with the drooping, but then it puckered. You can see the puckering on the models in the close-up. Maybe if I took it to a tailor they could fix the problem, the facing would have to be opened up and sewn up on the inside. The navy is a little bright also, the dress isn't as fitted as I would like, and it was a little too long. All in all, too many repairs at the tailors made this not a very good investment for me.
MORE COLORS PLEASE
This dress is fabulous. Received the navy, tried it on and immediately ordered the grey. Just buy it.
Please make this dress in more colors.
