E03881 - Bushnell 8x30 Binoculars with Built-In 3.0 MP Digital Camera
Sent Back, wouldn't work, cheaply made
I bought these for Christmas for my husband, an avid bird watcher. We went bird watching together last weekend and I was excited to try to use the new camera/binocular. It would not take a picture, and the plastic strap connector broke off the binocular body immediately. At home we tried to format the SD chip on my laptop, but it would still not work. My husband has a wide inter-pupillary distance and he could not get the binocular to open wide enough for him to focus on objects. A big disappointment, they went back.
not as expected
i like the idea of the camera and binoculars together. these are not easy to adust.hard on the eyes.very confusing on how to use them.i bought this for myself for a christmas present and this was my worst gift. i hope this help the maker of this product to make a better upgrade.
Got these for Christmas. Looking forward to watching and taking photos of birds at feeder. Could not get them to work at all. LED screen would not stay lit, and would NOT take pictures at all, wouldn't even snap photo. Scopes are difficult to look through and are not comfortable. I have cheaper binoculars that work much better than these and are easier to see thru. Sent these back, would not recommend.
Good Sporting Binocs, Camera stinks
The Binocs themselves are good for a nice sharp closeup. I like that part of it.
But the camera pics are the equivalent of a $20 digital camera, with washed out color, grainy looking and the button is touchy, just taking them out of the case sets if off sometimes as you accidentally bump it.
When you press the shutter button you have to wait 2 or 3 seconds till the cam takes the pic??! What a joke! If you wanted to take a close up action shot you might as well forget that, it'd be well gone by the time the camera took the shot!
You do need some kind of support of your arms or camera to take a halfway descent clear shot. Good pics though if you just want to send something by email.
I haven't printed anything out yet but I'm sure they'd look as washed out as they are on a display.
But they are still handy enough where I can use them once in a while.
Who would this be a perfect gift for? I was going to chose, Someone you don't like, but they didn't have that choice. haa, just joking.
No they are just alright, good binoculars like I said, but just a so-so camera and video.
Waste of Money
I bought these for my husband I thought they would be great for hunting. They are junk a waste of money bottomline don't get them,
I disaggree, takes great pics
I bought these for my husband last Christmas so that he could take pictures of deer while he was getting ready for hunting season. He has some beautiful shots... It did take some practice, but we have great shots of turkey outside our living room and deer from outside his hunting blind. He also has used it just to take some regular pictures when he did not have his regular camera on hand while in the woods.
I am buying one this year for my son-in-law for Christmas for his hunting expeditions.
Waste of Money
These are a very good set of binoculars, but thats it. It takes terrible pictures. It is almost impossible to hold it still and take a picture. When you hit the snap button it does not always take a picture and when it does it is delayed. Do not buy these to take pictures. I took almost 200 pitures, and not even one of them was worth printing.
Awesome binoculars, but blurry pictures. If it would have an attachment for a tri-pod, this purchase would have been great.
That's what my husband says about this product. Got it for him for Christmas and he loves it. He's not a serious camera guy, and it's not for the serious photographer. He loves taking pictures of the birds at our feeders. He has solved the blurry picture problem by using the snap feature. His hands aren't steady and he's found a little problem with the picture if he doesn't wear his glasses, but you can't take it away from him.
Hard to Use
It's very hard to take pictures that aren't blurry. You must be sure to take a very distant picture and even then you aren't assured a quality photo. If there is any item in front of the picture such as a branch it will focus on that and not the item you want. There is quite a delay after pressing the shutter button. I love the concept but the kinks still need to be worked out. Not user friendly. One nice feature is that it has a memory card slot.
not good quality
Gave to my boyfriend for Christmas, I was terribly embarrassed when he said they did not work, complete disapointment. Sent them back did not bother to exchange for a new pair.
I love my new binoculars! Best present I've received in a long time.
It's not hard to hold still at all. Can't wait to use them next deer hunting season.
