Cozy Comforter I have had this comforter in the full size for about seven or eight months...the colors are very nice and it makes for a very nice Fall/Winter comforter, given the velvet browns and tans. My man-friend likes it, so that tells you its not too frilly. I took it off the bed for the Summer because it was too warm for hot Summer nights. 08-15-11
Nicer in person This is a very nice set, especially for the clearance price. Made of a cotton sueded-velveteen type fabric, not thick velveteen. Colors are prettier in person, and coordinate better than the photo. Four colors are: Forest green blocks with rows of green, cream, and pink ribbon trim; dusty rose blocks (not so pink) with concentric squares of quilting; golden bronze blocks with green vine and pink leaf embroidery, and chocolate brown blocks with 2 green embroidered stems and leaves and flower tops made of covered buttons in matching fabrics. The outer edge is a very wide band of the golden bronze with the embroidery (this yellow-ish looking blocks are actually the same color in person as the the outer edge, more golden bronze). The photo shows the quilt only; the bedskirt is the green in a flat panel bedskirt with pleats. The shams are pieced in exactly the same pattern so they line up nicely next to each other. I personally wish the bedskirt was in the chocolate brown (my preference). My only concern is the covered button flower tops in the brown squares - they are a bit lumpy to lay on, and I worry they may catch and pull off. I may replace them with some flat plastic shirt-type buttons in a matching color. Not too thick, would sleep under from fall through spring with or without a blanket, and would probably fold back in the summer. .Has a rich, higher quality look. 01-12-11
