Compliments All The Time
I always get compliments w/all my Bob Mackie outfits...I already have 4 other pants sets (3 different colors of the same style)..great for work...easy to care for..true to size..looking at the other colors available now. Exchanges are very convenient and fast.

Not for me
I'm a big Bob Mackie fan and have order many items. This jacket fit ok but I felt the bird on the back made me look like a biker chick and the pants were way too big. Had to return.

I purchased this suit in royal blue and it is gorgeous! I can't wait to wear it.....absolutely love it! Thank you Bob Mackie!!!

Sorry Mr. Mackie
Don't misunderstand me, this outfit is beautiful! The issue I have is the pants are huge....I always wear a size XL in Mr. Mackies pants and an XL in his tops, jackets, etc. The jacket fits perfectly, but the pants can actually fit me and someone else inside them??? I love the outfit so much, I will bring the pants to the tailor which probably will cost quite a bit for all the needed alterations. I ordered the black outfit and planned on ordering the purple when it came back into stock...or even the blue.
In fact, I loved this outfit so much, I ordered a size L for my aunt as a Christmas gift...hopefully she doesn't have the same problem w/the slacks.
I truly hate to give Mr. Mackie any review lower than a 4...in fact, I believe this is the first time I have ever rated Mr. Mackie a "3 star review"...but, the "truth is the truth"...maybe next time Mr. Mackie will have the pants to "sets" cut as he cuts the pants that are sold separately. I honestly thought this outfit would fit perfectly because I order so much from Mr. Mackie's clothing line and have basically haven't had any issues once I found my true size w/ref. to his clothing line...which has always been an XL.
Please Mr. Mackie, you really should cut these slacks "true to the size chart".

OUTSTANDING SET
I ordered the chocolate set first, in a size large. Loved it so much I ordered it in black, also in large. As soon as the black set arrived I tried it on, but noticed it was too big in the shoulders. Taking the chocolate set out of the closet I tried it on again. Much to my surprise I realized the brown was also too large in the shoulders for me. Obviously when trying on the first set I failed to notice the chocolate set was too big in the shoulders for me too; I also noticed the sleeves gathered in the upper part of my arms perhaps because the fit was too big in the shoulders also. This was one of those times when I did not pay enough attention to the fit because I WANTED THE OUTFIT TO.WORK FOR ME. Living in south Texas I had not had the opportunity,weather wise,, to wear the chocolate set, consequently had only tried it on when it first arrived. After zipping up the chocolate and black jackets I knew, without a doubt, that a size large was just too big and returned both sets, and did not reorder;

I have this in Charcoal. I am tall, so I wear a shorter shoe. I suggest wearing a higher heal is you are short. For more years than I would like to count designers catered to the short woman. Tall people could fly a kite to find slacks/pants that were long enough. I can use a 33" inseam or 34" at times. Bob's pants are just fine. I only wish I had the money to purchase many more colors. The girls in my office flipped for the suit...Thanks Bob, tall people appreciate the effort designers are making today

OMG! Beautiful.
Wanted this set in the blue, but was wait listed, so I also ordered the brown. Boy, was I surprised when both arrived together. They are so beautiful that I believe I will just have to keep them both. Was not sure about the lenght of the pants, but they FIT! Thankyou Bob. From the bucket of chicken legs lady in OKC. Ladies, I am 5 feet 10 inches tall. I normally wear a 32 inch inseam. But these fit very well. Thanks again Bob. This a gorgeous set.

For Tall Ladies
Bought the royal blue. The Phoenix is absolutely beautiful in the blue and purple. The jacket fits fine in a XL. However, the pants will need to be taken up at least 4 inches. I think the idea is to fit the tallest lady possible and let the rest of us get them hemmed up.

Not the usual Bob Mackie
I purchased the charcoal, green and navy blue sets. I am very disappointed in the fit of all the pants. Trying on the first set I thought they made a mistake on the rise of the pants of this set. Then I tried on the second and third---both also have a hugh rise. I have many Bob Mackie's pants and none of the others are misfits like these. It's one thing to have the hem of a pair of pants raised, but to adjust the rise is much more complicated and more work ($$$) by far. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering these sets. And then there is the cost of sending them back. When there are issues like this the "Q" should take on the return postage.

Beautiful Casual Suit
This is a suit that feels and looks great. It does run a bit large in terms of sizing. Sending the 1x back for an XL. Will probably order another one.

Stunning
I too found the pants too long - odd because I have another Mackie moleskin pant suit (w/butterfly mosaic) and the pants are perfect.
Having said that, this is a beautiful autumn outfit. I have a yellow shell to go underneath and a gold and amber necklace that will set it off perfectly. Can't wait to wear it and hear the compliments!! So I need to shorten the pants soon.
Bob Mackie's clothes are always elegant, stylish, quality and he is just a peach. I always look forward to his visits to QVC.

Lovely Embroidery
Ordered this item in blue. Still don't know whether I'll keep it. If I do I'll need to have the pants altered. I think I'll probably send it back if the cost of alteration exceeds the cost of returning. I like it but the legs are so big I can literally fit both of my legs in one leg. Something is very wrong with your sizing of these pants.
