WORTH EVERY PENNY
This is an absolutely gorgeous skirt......I was hesitant at first to purchase it because of the very large splashy print......but observed the models wearing the garment and I was able to see that the cut was superb.........I am familiar with Mr. Mackie's clothing and am usually more than pleased with the cut and craftsmanship on every piece. So I took a chance. I chose the green though I could have chosen any of the colors. I loved them all. When I first tried it on I saw that the workmanship was excellent and the skirt did have a marvelous cut.....slim at the hips and very flowing at the bottom.....the fabric was soft and did not cling. However, one of the largest floral designs fell smack dab on my rear. It seems that the print is random and that placement will be in different places on each garment. I thought about exchanging it for another....or even sending it back for a refund.....but first rummaged through my closet to see if I had a top to match the green in the skirt figuring that might make a difference. I did not have an exact match in any tee shirt or tank top....or sweater......but did have a wonderful Susan Graver poly top I got ages ago.....The material looks and feels like crepe......and has charcoal gray big pearl ball buttons. (I purchased every color of these tops....don't think they are available anymore) It was a perfect match! ....and the large gray pearl buttons coordinated with the gray floral in the skirt....and best of all......the top was long enough to just cover the rear area where the very large splashy flower was..........it looks great. I can wear the top buttoned up or as a jacket. Now to find a light gray tank top.......
I highly recommend the skirt. Just check to see what you look like from behind........and where those large flower designs land........if on the rear.....you may want to exchange...or find a long top. I think the skirt is a good value and the construction and fit are both superb. This would cost a lot more in the department stores.....if they even had something like this. It looks more like something from a small boutique.
