Like A Whisp Of Air
This caftan floats on your body and moves with every step and gesture. It is quite beautiful both in coloration and design. I ordered the Lilac, and if it didn't have such a distinctive look I would probably order the other color as well. I am 5'-4" and the length is at my ankles in bare feet. I ordered based on the "click here" measurements for the perfect amount of movement in the garment.

I BOUGHT THE LIGHT ORCHID PEACOCK CAFTAN AND I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW GORGEOUS THIS IS. I DRESSED IT UP WITH CHUNCKY WHITE BEADS,EARRINGS TO MATCH AND LIGHT ORCHID LINEN HEELS AND WENT OUT TO DINNER FOR MY B'DAY. THE COMPLIMENTS WERE UNBELIEVABLE! ALL NIGHT!
IT IS SO COMFORTABLE AND COOL ON A WARM NIGHT AND MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A STAR!
BOB MACKIE CLOTHES ARE EXCEPTIONAL. I OWN ALOT OF BOB'S CLOTHING AND THIS CAFTAN IS OUTSTANDING!

Just lovely as always
I ordered this in lilac in my normal size, medium. The print is beautiful but the color is washed out a bit. Not at all vibrant. Medium is big on me and I will have to have it hemmed but not if it's going to cost a fortune. I like the loose fit esp for summer but the length is so disappointing. Why don't more designers make petite in everything they do? Not everyone woman is 5'8"!

Pretty but Big!
Love Bob Mackie's clothing, but this article runs large. Ordered my normal size and it envelopes me. Probably could have downsized 2 sizes. The material is very light weight would need to wear a slip. I ordered the coral and the print is beautiful! Sadly this will be returned.

My kind of dress!
I bought both colors and I LOVE them! I have three of the tops which have the peacock plume pattern and I ALWAYS receive compliments when I wear them.
I am 5'8" and the length is no problem for me, even in my bare feet. I live in a retirement community and most of us wear slacks to dinner in the evening, but we have a "social hour" once a month, and I intend to wear these dresses -- an extra punch of color and new style never hurts andone!
I wear Little missmatched socks which people thought were "strange" bu tnow they look to see which socks I'm wearing, and since it is warm now I don't wear any socks, People are dissapointed!
Thank you Bob for adding a little "swish" to a practical life for both me and my friends!

Doesn't move with you
Although I went down in size it is very large, as well as long; I trip every time I use the stairs. It is beautiful and great weight for summer, however, when sitting or lying down the material gets bunched up under you and you are always trying to readjust the caftan to your body since there is no stretch to the fabric. This is the EXACT reason I do not wear or like nightgowns. I have other caftans that are made of cotton or have stretch that I do sleep in that do not have the issues that this one does. If I were to recommend this I would counter what the host suggested and stay true to size or even go up and wear it around the house, and not to sleep in.

COMFY
I ordered and received one in each color. They washed very well,(in cold water, ) I hung them out to dry. No wrinkles. They fit great. Got both in medium. Was / am not dissappointed, at all.
. Next time Mr Mackie, (easy pay). That would be a great help to many of us. Thank You.

Prettier on TV, but is way too tight around the hips. Color is ok but not as vibrant as on TV.

Lovely in Lilac
Another winner from Bob Mackie! I bought this in the lilac and it is a beautiful shade with the plumes done in white and pink. The fit is very flattering, and there is even a slight ruffle effect down the sides from the way the fabric is cut and sown. There is a tiny button closure in back, but I just put it on over my head because of the boat neck. The sleeves are also flattering and come down right below the elbow. I am tall, and I am very pleased with the length on this caftan. The fabric is beautiful and looks more like silk than poly. I got this to wear as a swimsuit coverup, but I also plan to float around my balcony in this as well. A real winner at a summer pool party, with jewelry and heels. This caftan is very elegant, and would look great in the south of France!
