Not too basic.....
I was disappointed when I got this yesterday. A lot of the ingredients are not something you have on hand and many recipe are exotic types with sauces and spices. There are 4 recipes for meatloaf, only using different spices. I am returning this, and I never return cookbooks. There are only 6 receipes in here I want to try. All these 5 star ratings must be from chefs.

ok , but ....
i love the blue jean chef , so i bought the cook book.i have a 3 qt pressure cooker and wanted recipes for it.the food in side looked delicious,but there wasn't a conversion chart for different size cookers.in the presentation, i herd that there was a conversion chart to help you fit your size cooker,there wasn't.i was so disappointed,so i'm sending it back.sorry meredith.

Beautiful Cookbook!!
Kudos to Meredith. This cookbook is wonderful,everything is down to earth and all ingredients are from scratch. No canned soups used in any of these recipes. Very well designed and easy for the cooks to follow. Love the bar at the top of the recipe, it's all the need to knows right at your finger tips. From soups and chilies to desserts. This will be my go to book all winter to make new dishes in my pressure cooker.

I can't wait to start cooking
I am a happy cook today. Got this in the mail today and just looking at it I can tell I am going to have a ball learning to use my pressure cooker better. The recipes are simple and the ingredients are things I have in the house, not a lot of things I never heard of. The pictures are great and tips helpful. Thank you so much Meredith.

This cookbook is not just enjoyable to read, but the recipes are practical and easy to do. So glad I have it .

I have only cooked 2 of Meredith's recipes and so far both have gotten rave reviews. The Cauliflower and Broccoli Gratin and theSummer Ale Chicken are excellent. I can't wait to try more of her recipes. She really knows what she is doing.

Great Book - Somewhat disappointed
I purchased based on two items shown on TV, however when I got the book and looked up the recipes, I was disappointed. I do not cook with veal and I do not like to fry foods at all. I am referring to the meatloaf recipes and the parmesean crusted chicken breasts. I am sure I will find use for the book. It was cheaper to keep than to return. I did like her tips at the bottom of the pages though. I would have liked to have been a student in her kitchen.

I have never order a cook book from QVC before, and I sure picked a good one. The pictures are amazing. Jean thanks so much for the tips,they are my favorite part. It is possible to have all the right ingredients but, not the right way to use them. Looking forward to many happy times in the kitchen.

Most detailed cookbook
Wonderful recipies with lots of help in creating these and extra hints to go to another level or way to prepare. Meridith shows details in ways that other cookbooks do not.
