Blue Jean Chef: "Comfortable Under Pressure" Cookbook
I got this book to use with my pressure cooker & it looks great. She is one of my favorite chefs on QVC.
I am new to pressure cooking. This cookbook not only has great recipes and pictures; it also has tips to help newbies like me. Highly recommended.

My copy arrived yesterday and I've leafed through it twice earmarking recipes I definitely want to try. The design//layout and photographs are great. I also like Meredith's tips along the way. It's quite a substantial book and I would recommend to anyone who is new to pressure cooking or has a lot of experience. Best book on pressure cooking I've seen so far. I'm sure it will get a lot of use at my house. Thanks to Meredith and QVC for bringing us this excellent cook book!
Best item ever purchased for ME!
I have used the stove top pressure cookers off and on for 50+ years but after watching last month I wanted the electric one. I ordered me one and both of my daughters one for Christmas. Purchased Blue Jean Chef cookbook and recipes are simple and easy to follow. I am cooking things (soup) that I never thought to cook in my pressure cooker! Highly recommend. Remember we have to prep all of our foods and wait for water to come to a boil, it is the actual cooking time you do in a hurry. Don't be afraid. Oh yes, I donated my old stove top pressure cooker to Good Will.
Recipes look good
I bought the cook book to go with the pressure cooker but I am new to pressure cooking and a little apprehensive. I have looked through the book and am anxious to try many of the recipes, they all look good. I wanted to start off getting used to the cooker so started with the easier recipes that came with the cooker. I am ready to go now, and my first attempt will be the potato and corn chowder which looks fabulous.
many good meals
I have used several reciepies from this book and they all came out great, i used my pressure cooker so much that it went out and i have to order a new one! Friends and family enjoy the meals!
I received the book yesterday and spent last evening "reading" it and putting sticky notes on the recipes I want to make first. Wow! Sticky notes everywhere. I did see recipes with ingredients/spices I don't use but this just might be the time to start. The cons would be: small print for directions (wish they were the size of the ingredient list) and I wish there was nutritional information since I guide my daily intake using this info. Had the info been listed I would have given it a five star rating. My slow cooker is a Cook's Essential four quart so I will have to do some adjusting but all in all it's a good book.
I to ordered this book. Way to many ingredients, of which I don't keep on hand. There was only one or two recipes that appealed to my family. Not even sure about keeping pressure cooker.
Awesome pressure cooker!
I wasn't certain as to how it worked even after reading instructions....I didn't feel comfortable. So I looked On YouTube and found the 'Blue Jean Chef', and found her video of this model called "Pressure Cooker Inservice". It made it so simple to understand exactly how it works and any precautions. Love her video!!! Anyway, all my questions have been answered. I made a chuck roast in my beautiful turquoise pressure cooker and it was delicious. I like it so much, I bought my daughter a dark green one. Happy cooking to everyone that bought this cooker!!
Bought this cook book for my daughter. She is a good cook and is really pleased with this book. Yes the recipes take steps, that happens when you have good recipes. Have liked everything she has cooked from the recipes in this book.

This cookbook is great! This easy to read, w/great photos of the finished dish is an excellent cookbook! I purchased this cookbook when I purchased a pressure cooker. I love just watching the Blue Jean Chef even if I'm not buying a thing!
It's Just OK
It's got a few good sounding recipes to me, but on the whole most of the recipes don't sound appealing to me at all. I would have sent it back, but postage is too outrageous. This postage thing is probably going to slow my shopping way down. It's just getting way too expensive.
