Blue Jean Chef: "Comfortable Under Pressure" Cookbook
I love this book. It is written so clear and easy to follow. I can now make bean soup in my pressure pot!
I was looking for more basics, e.g. French Onion Soup. I was disappointed in the selection.
I decided to buy the book since I purchased the digital pressure cooker she presented. The book has great photographs of the food you can make, the recipes are easy to follow and what I've made so far tastes Fantastic!! Glad I bought the book...next recipe to try, the Coq au Vin!

Between this book and Bob Warden's Great Food Fast anyone can pressure cook.
I have this book already and bought it as a Christmas gift with a pressure cooker for my sister. All good and hardy recipes, love it.
I love this book
Wow, I consider myself a good cook yet a simple cook. I was surprised to read the reviews and see things like: "...spices I don't have..", "...ingredients not in the kitchen..." Seriously? If you own a spice rack, you have most of these spices. For me, specialty ingredients mean I have to shop a specialty store for them and I don't remember one single recipe in this book that requires that. Yes, some of the recipes require some preparation...but simple preparation and a small amount of time! If you find this book challenging, I recommend a cooking class instead. By the way, the Corn and Potato Chowder is to die for!
Not for my family
In the whole book I may use 3 recipies. I don't like it. What I want is a simple book to help me make simple and affordable meals so far in the Pressure Cooking world I can't find anything like that. The recipies in this book are complicated with many spices and ingredients I have never used much less find in my kitchen. We are simple eaters, basic meals this book is too complicated for us. Most of the recipies have many steps, not what I was looking for when I purchased the pressure cooker.

Great recipes, excellent quality on the book. Pages are thicker than a normal book. An excellent value for the price. Great delivery time. Bought copies for my family.

When I ordered this cookbook, I was expecting simple everyday recipes such as the ones they showed on the video when I bought my pressure cooker. I was disappointed when I received it and do not feel that I will use it often. However, I do love my pressure cooker.
I have tried several recipes from the Blue Jean Chef Cookbook and believe me they do not disappoint. So far my favorite recipe is the Gumbo; Turns out great every time.
To me this book was too much money. I was hoping for receipes explaining how to cook the pasta in with the sauce instead of cooking noodle separately. I was also hoping it would tell you how to can. The receipes that are in there are nice but for the price I wanted more. What I did like about Meridiths book is how consice it was and how she gave step by step directions. Good book for begginers like myself.
