Stains Very Easily
Cooks OK, I guess, but wow it stains easily. I grilled steak strips, soaked the pan afterwards, and the scrubbed and scrubbed but it is vey stained. Have only used it once. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews.... Too expensive to send back.

Surprised and Not Pleased
I really want to like this pan and actually live with discoloration after using, but it really made a mess of my stove. My white stove top was burned and had tiny black flecks of something all over it. I had to scrub to remove and finally after several applications of cleaner was able to get them off. I am a little concerned that it was the finish, but will give it another try by using it in the oven as a roasting pan.

A Keeper but cleaning requires patience.
I have used this pan twice. I followed the instructions and ended up with a pan so blackened I thought I would have to throw it out. Finally got it clean after many hours of soaking and scrubbing. Tried it again today and it was blackened again. However, since I really like my BlueJean Chef 4 quart clay pot and my Technique Flame chicken clay pot, I decided I wasn't going to give up on this product. I let it cool off on the stove top while we ate then I took the slightly warm pan and put it in a dry sink and covered the bottom of the pan with the blue dish liquid that takes grease off of the ducks... you know the commercial. I let the pan sit with only the dish soap in it for 3 hours, took a tooth brush to it and all of the black came off revealing the beautiful blue pan underneath. The bottom was marred from the burner and wouldn't come off but I am not concerned about that, it is clay and unglazed.
I had started the pan with oil in it on medium heat then lowered the heat to medium low while cooking. I may try an even lower temperature next time but the pan is definately a keeper.

Great cooking Pan!
I loved this pan and yes there are marks on it after cooking. What puzzles me with the complaints.... its a cooking pan...what is the difference if it's discolored? Would you put your roaster on the table?

1st BAD BUY I EVER GOT HERE
worst pan i have ever had discolored while grilling steaks can not get it clean
even tried oven cleaner oh well i would send it back but it makes a nice pan to
feed the dog in don't buy this one

VERY GOOD OVAL GRILL PAN!
BLUE JEAN CHEF FLAMEPROOF OVAL GRILL PAN (ordered the red and it is a vibrant orangy-red) does an excellent job of grilling--used it to grill chicken and Italian sausage in the oven and it did a very good job--also, very much liked that fat drained to bottom of pan. Cleans up very nicely in the dishwasher--another plus. Thank you BLUE JEAN CHEF MEREDITH and QVC!

Love My Pan!
As with my other Flameproof purchases it's a great pan. The day it arrived I cooked 2 nice sized stteaks in the pan in my smoker. It worked like a charm. I have used my Flameproof vertical roaster in the smoker as well and it is a wonder, too bad it is no longer available, I'd like to have another of those. Clean up is easy as can be, no problems there. Anyhow, I highly recommend this grill pan and look forward to any and all the terrific things I'll prepare in it.

LUV THIS PAN!!!
Saw this being demonstrated by her on QVC and was a bit hesitant due to some of the reviews. But it looked easy to use and very versatile that you can grill in it, cook on the stovetop and bake in the oven. Decided to order...as soon as it arrived, I got it out and washed and lightly seasoned the dish. Then browned a large roast in it...sautéed veggies in it, Baked a chicken in it....all with perfect results!!!! And the color is vibrant and perks up my kitchen. It cleaned up like a breeze. This is a keeper!!

Just what I needed for the grill
I use this primarily for smoked mack and cheese on the grill. LOVE it. It's just the right size for the two of us

Best Pan
I have this pan in blue. I love it! I use on the BBQ and I use in my oven. From roasting pork roast to baking all differnt kinds of casseoles. This is the easiest pan I have in my house to clean. All I have to do is soak in hot soapy water and it wipes out clean.Sometimes I have to put a little work but nothing to discourage me from using this pan. I dont understand why people would ever dry cook anything. You always start cooking with oil or butter. Yes the Use and Care is a little confusing but if people use common sense all works out. I will be buying more for my family. Thanks QVC for a nice product.

Love this PAN!!
I first heated on top of stove with a little olive oil, then placed my breaded fish in the pan, and put in the oven, NOTHING AND I REPEAT NOTHING STUCK TO THIS PAN, I used a small nylon scrubber and everything wiped clean as a whistle. I absolutely love this pan. If breaded anything doesn't stick, I believe nothing will. Try it-you'll love it.

This is the first bad review I have written. This pan burned up so quickly and the food took too long to grill/cook. DON"T Purchase
