Gives a good light (not excellent) but better than those $10 flood flashlights from Walmart. NOT a tactical power. However, after I had it for over 2 months I started having problems with the trigger. This flashlight is awkward to hold and lay down or set down to focus on a spot. Once you pull the trigger, there is a little black push button that locks the trigger in so you don't have to hold the trigger. It didn't take many uses until I found that when I held the trigger in, the light would just go off. If I let go of the trigger and repulled it, the light would come back on. I also found that it was just a short while longer, and if I had the trigger pulled, and set the button lock, it would only be about 1-2 minutes and the light would go off, even with the trigger lock ON. I would have to take the lock off, push in the trigger again, put on the lock again and most times the light will still just go off in a minute or two, occassionally I luck out and it stays on for as long as I need, but not often. This is an ok flashlight if you just want to look around the darkness for a brief period, like to open the door and look out , but my experience was that it is not ok if you want to use it for walking in the dark or camping. Brief use only.
