Great Product I bought one for my son and one for my grandson who just got his first truck. Both have all ready used them for charging dead batteries. Grandson has used it to charge his cell phone a number of times. My son said this was a great purchase. I'm so glad it works for them. Thanks 03-05-13

Bought this Oct-Had 2 Use January-NOT WORK! You really cannot tell how this works until your battery dies. My Battery did n't go until January-and had a Male Friend try it 3 Times. NOTHING! Had to call AAA. Very Disappointing,, and not eligible for Refund! 01-13-13
REP NEEDS 2 communicate: 22 yr old El DoradoBaritz I received the B&D charger as a gift for Christmas, when I said, " Get something for me that I need, certain price range, but don't tell me." When I opened it, I said, " OH, "Just what I needed!! And until I get my love tuned up, I'm losing battery power! It drains it from the seats, radio, LED, etc....and when the 8 cylinder goes dead, there is "nothing" not even a click. I do have an engine heater and the car is under a carport in my back yard. Temps are 19 degrees on a good night in Washington State right now. I knew it was dead from not being driven as my alley is snowed in.so I hooked bkl to the blk screw & red to red screw after taking off the covers. Turned on the ignition. Did my short cranks and got little bits of power. Didn't work. I didn't give up. I wen in plugged in andt the second day; did the same. Short cranks *fuel injected* "Nothing"...thought this is going back, I lost", but said, something is wrong; I read the directions! Said, "Crank it" wait 7 seconds, crank again! Okay, definition of crank..." hold it for a second or two" because you are charging it! I had been taking out my starter the way I was doing it." So unplugged it again and took out today and said, " Im hooking it up, turning on the knob that says on/off to "on" as I had been doing, only this time I'm going to "hold the ignition for a second when I crank it" wait 7 seconds w/ the tap of the foot, and crank again. It started!!! I left it running *mandatory*, unhooked the unit, closed the hood, turned the dial to the "off position", plugged it inside again (* I keep it plugged in) because I'm not driving right now, left my caddy running for 30 min for a good charge (set the timer on my stove) lol, and I am a happy girl! On my battery there are 2 screws that are covered w/ round covers;one red and one black; pull the covers off and put red clamp *around red area screw and black clamp *around black area screw, get in the car and hold that crank 2 sec, count to 7, hold 2 sec & when started..do not turn off... Get out, unhook, "turn the dial to the off position" plug in the house w/ extention cord, set the timer for 30 min so the car gets good and charged. Walla, shut off the car, done! If it can charge my totally dead 22 yr old Caddy Eldorado Baritz w/ 90,000 miles on it, it can charge any car or even a truck for that matter. I will do this again I'm sure and lets pray it does it again!! 01-12-13
OH YESSSSSS I purchased this in October 2012 and finally got to use it today 1/3/2013. It WORKS and is soooo EASY. Now I don't have to wait for anyone to come/or bother a neighbor to start my car. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IIIIIIIIIIIIIT. Am so happy that I do not have to depend on anyone and that I can easily do it myself. 01-03-13
Love this handy item I got it home and charged it up. I immediately had a nearly flat tire while I was out and it was simple to put air in the tire until I got to the tire shop for repair. Then, my battery was dead and I used it again. I did need a new battery but was able to drive my own car to the auto shop to buy a new one. I didn't have to wait for the emergency tow company and could take immediate care of the problem myself. Big Plus for a female driver. Handy, Handy Handy 12-09-12
Not Good I've had this for about a month. Today, I left my lights on in error and the unit would not charge my Ford Explorer Sport edition. It's going back! 12-04-12
Great investment I bought one of these for my husband for fathers day. Yesterday I ordered a second one so we have one for each vehicle. Beyond useful, its been for giving jumps, charging our cells etc. 11-30-12
really upset i have been charging this unit for a week now! it just won't charge! i have read the instructions and followed directions several times. still no success! i am not a klutz with machinery, so the thing should have charged. i really needed this to work. i live alone with no help, this was suppose to be my safety net. i am suprised because i own alot of black and decker tools, they have always been very reliable. 11-19-12
Worked Only Once My son used this on his car a month ago and it worked great..but I found I had a dead battery last night at 11pm so found myself out in the pitch black night trying to use this device. To start with the lights shoot straight ahead so I had to keep lifting the device so I was able to get light on the battery to see what I was doing..once connected I got in the car and ALAS..try as I may ..and believe me I tried over and over to start the car..nothing happened..just the dead battery clicking sound!!! I finally gave up and went back inside my home and checked the power scale...it was drained to 2 bars..apparently it just wasn't strong enough to start my battery! Oh well..I had great hopes for this as I live alone and thought this would be great in emergencies..NOT!! 11-13-12
