They're surprisingly soft and cushiony and require less break-in time than with the traditional Birkenstock footbed. With the soft footbed, an elastic latex cushion is placed between the suede cover and anatomically designed cork core. Soft footbed!!!! I wish Birkenstock Birki's would offer the soft footbed sandal in more colors and styles!!! After having laser surgery on my heel, I cannot wear the original birko floor cork footbed anymore. The Tahiti style is my 4th pair of soft footbed sandals. Will order more when they become available. Thanks QVC! 04-04-13

Beautiful AND Comfortable! With the usual 'Birki-Bend' out of the box, I wore these sandles ALL day and had SEVERAL compliments on the color! I am a VERY happy, and MANY times repeat QVC Birki customer! Do your feet a favor and treat them to a pair of Birki's, if you haven't already! Love this for style and comfort! I purchase my first pair of Birki Tahitis several years ago from QVC thinking I might wear them occasionally. The silver pebbled sandals have become my go-to shoes!! Extremely comfortable from the start. The soft footbed really is "forgiving" on the feet. I liked them so much that I just ordered a pair in bronze. Just so you know, I am usually not a lover of metallic shoes, but the tones are subtle and the fit and wear are true to Birki. I find this style to be flattering to my feet; just looks a bit more polished and pulled together than my other Birkis -- an a bit more streamlined. Love them. 11-29-12

Love them!!! This is my first pair of soft foot bed birks and I am now looking for others. I have many pairs but couldn't believe how comfy these were. I am definitely going to buy more pairs. Thanks and love this idea. Highly recommended 11-07-12

My Favorite shoe I bought these in July & have worn them pretty much every day. They are so comfortable I don't want to wear any others. Wish there were more colors to choose from 08-29-12

Nice shoe Really like the looks of this shoe. I'll definitely purchase more Birki's. I only gave it a 4 because it was a little difficult to get used to since I just had foot reconstruction. But just imagine, if I can adjust, they must be a great shoe! 08-19-12

My Birki's I have been trying to find a comfortable sandal so I tried Birki's Lennox Patina Finish Toe Loop. I thought these were great until I tried Birki's Tahiti Double Strap Soft Footbed Sandals. I could not believe how comfortable these sandals are. I love both styles but I highly recommend the soft footbed if you are purchasing your first pair of Birki sandals. I will definitely be checking out what Birki has for the winter. I wear a 7 1/2 but had to send them back. A little too large. I returned them for a 7 and it fit perfect. 08-15-12

Awesome shoes!! I have been wearing Birkenstocks for years but this was my first pair with the soft footbed. they are amazing, comfortable right out of the box. I got the red and they are such a pretty color, very cute!! Wore them all day the first day including a 3 mile walk and did just fine. 08-13-12

Wonderful! This is my third pair of Birki's. This soft footbed is absolutely the best! I didn't have to break them in at all. 08-13-12

Defect I preface this complaint with the statement that I do like Birki's. This particular style though has a defect. I purchased a similar sandal before and the same thing happened. The cork by the toes cracks right where it is joined to the leather, on both sandals. I had to send a pair back last year but thought that was just a one time thing so I purchased another and it happened again this year. I love the style but won't get this kind again. I am hesitant to send them back but I am afraid it will continue to effect the rest of the shoe. I would not recommend this style. 08-11-12

Totally Surprised! This is my seventh pair of Birkenstocks and I think my new favorite! I have heel spur syndrome and the soft footbed but firm bottom are a great combination. And no break-in period was such a treat! 08-06-12
