Big Easy TracFone Prepaid Cell Phone w/ Large Keys & 400 Mins
Simple and Basic
This is for the person who just wants a phone and that is for my husband. He uses to call home when he is away and I can get a hold of him if necessary. Numbers are big enough for a man's hand.
Great Little Phone
I bought this for my wife who was having problems with the keypad on her flip phone. She only uses about 30 minutes/month so this works out well. Why pay $20/month for a line when you can get this for the equivalent of $5/month? Great service from TracFone too.
This is the second tracfone I've purchased for my husband who doesn't want anything to do with cellphones, computers, etc.. The first one was a touch phone but he wouldn't use it. The bigger keys seem to be the one thing that sold it. He's had to be away a lot and he calls home without any trouble. Easy to use and so far a great product. I plan on leaving Verizon and purchasing one for myself.
Thus far I would give this phone, minute pkg and TracFone Co. Service ZERO stars. There wasn't a TracFone number in the pkg. to call for activation. I called QVC customer service. They gave me a number to call.
When you activate your phone there is no way to speak with a rep for assistance if you need help or have a question. You have to submit a request by e-mail. They send back a pin# and a secret phone number to call. All they did was refer me back to the original phone number I called.
I called QVC customer service back. They were of course, very nice. They are sending an inquiry to their corporate office to see if they can get some information and help resolving issues. It will take approx. 3 days for a reply.
When I get some answers I'll repost to let you know how it works out and any info I get that I think will make this an easier process for others. Keep it or throw it in the box and send it back...I'll let you know.
I'm glad I bought this from QVC and not in a store. I know that no matter how it works out QVC will see that I am happy.
SHOCKED AT LACK OF COVERAGE
QVC needs to explain exactly what the footprint of coverage is that you get when you activate your phone.
I just received my order of 2 phones....and was very pleased with the phone set up and ease of use...BUT THE BIG SHOCKER came when I tried to use the phone OUTSIDE OF THE ZIP CODE AREA under which it was activated. I purchased this phone to use to drive cross country to avoid long distance and roaming fees.I
When driving on the freeway and tried to use the phone....no network coverage showed on the phone's screen. . I called TRACFONE and they advised that THE PHONE WILL ONLY WORK WITHIN THE ZIPCODE AREA IN WHICH THE PHONE WAS ACTIVATED. So much for traveling to the supermarket (if it is outside of this zone) and you have an emergency and need to call someone.
Forget about all the other reviews about set up difficulty. If you are unable to use your phone outside of your area and can't travel with this phone. What is the use of having all these minutes. I am sorry to say I really like the actual phone but after finding out I can't use this phone outside of a small area....back it is going to QVC.
QVC YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN this restriction more clearly in YOUR presentation of the product. Showing a map which shows coverage for TRACFONE..implies you can use your phone everywhere.

I bought this for my 91 year old Mom. She wanted a very simple phone. I had read a lot of reviews from non QVC sites about poor TracFone customer service but I did not have a problem. Just took a few minutes by phone to activate. TracFone customer service was very helpful.
I guess that this is as simple as current phones get...but you do have to understand the concept of a variety of "hidden menus" to turn on the phone, silence it for Church,etc.
Setting up voice mail and receiving messages. Lock,unlock-key not in the best location.
Up and down arrows and Ok button,etc. Definitely not a simple-dial-turn off phone. Nice large keys. Wish it closed as like a flip-phone.
Fortunately, my Mom is a quicker learner. Unfortunately, service is not available in much of our area. She is happy with the phone and especially the low price for emergencies.
FANTASTIC CELL PHONE
This phone has to be the best cell phone i have ever purchased!! Bought this for my husband for Father's Day .His man hands wouldn't let his fingers touch the tiny numbers on our last cell phone so he could never use it. He loves the large numbers on the Big Easy phone. Plus it was hearing aid compatible which was another reason for purchasing this cell phone. He can now hear clearly when answering a call. The setup was so easy. Went to the TracFone website and just followed the instructions on transferring my phone# and the rest of my minutes to the new cell phone. Then called the 888 # to get my 400 promotional minutes. Everything went over smoothly with no problems.The 400 minutes went to the phone within about 15 minutes. What can I say! Best Phone, Easy setup and my husband is so happy with his new phone. Thanks to QVC for offering this phone for us seniors.
Perfect-just what I needed
I needed a phone for backup for my landline and for emergencies and this fit the bill perfectly. Very easy to activate.

This Phone is Awsome!
I had my phone almost a week now and i love it .... iam 34yr.old and it is not just for older people, i love the way the feel in the hand the big no.# are great and for anyone that want's a plain phone that make's and get calls and txt message this is for you i have had a touch screen and i just don't care for them and i 'am noton the internet on my phone so this is great i hope my review well help thanks
Finally a good phone that's easy
I bought this phone for my Mom who has tried many phones with a touch screen, and they were just to complicated for her. Finally we found this one, it is a basic phone with simple features. She also had 600 minutes on another phone and we did not have any trouble transferring them. She is up and running and I don't have to worry about the phone working!
I bought this phone to use for emergencies when on the road and to have when traveling by plane. I found the setup to be very easy. I used the internet to setup and activate the phone. I then called the toll free number provided by QVC to load the minutes. I found the process to be very easy. The phone has large numbers that are easy to read and the sound quality is good.
